Exclamation Quote from E3 in regards to Huxley

http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/707/707292p1.html
"Huxley has a big area set up with literally dozens of computers running the game. From what I saw it looked like a great big game of Unreal Tournament [insert year here]. It was fun, but didn't really scream "massively multiplayer" to me. I don't think I'd pay to play it when you have games like UT 2007 coming out without a monthly fee."l

Take it for what it's worth.

How would it seem 'massive' with 20 people playing it?

GG ign.

yeah if there saying it plays like UT then thats brilliant, because you get the same play style but in an MMO world, which is what they were aiming for in the first place.

Yeah I was happy to hear that.

It's not UT but it plays like UT + It's persistant. I kind of don't trust IGN though, they're very biased, and quite stupid.

Cool

Again they're saying similiar to UT. Which is also good imho. What I don't want to see is CS:S type zooms on guns. I'd much prefer Iron sights/Scopes on all guns. If no scope then it's iron sights type aiming like BF2. Anyhow, just my 2 cents.

Another mention here: http://www.beyondunreal.com/content/articles/147_1.php

"Once inside the South Hall I sought out some key titles. First was Webzen's Huxley. Most likely to be the 1st Unreal Engine 3 game to be released. I playing a round of Huxley Domination, player loadout and insertion into servers was clean, as was the graphics and gameplay. You will need a serious gaming rig and phat broadband to enjoy the multiplayer side."

"Huxley Domination". It almost sounds like it's a mini-gametype, or something created specifically for these demos.

Yeah, having resemblance to UT is very good...and the fact that IGN wouldn't play it is more incentive. Don't trust them, mostly listen to Gamespot.

From my understanding of what people are saying. It doesnt feel like an MMO, my cousin went and played a little bit of it. He tells me that you almost feel caged in when you should be completely open.

You pick a level you want to play, get ported there and then are inside a level. not a part you can just walk upon some time like with most MMO. None the less he said it was fun. But that the game wasnt as big as he thought, I guess there were a lot of bots and less than 25 people on each team.

Well you have to remember it's still in developement.

No one was playing quest, no one was working together, they probably still dont have the seemless loading times down yet, that's why it's UNDER DEVELOPEMENT. Ya know?

The "massive" part will sort itself out when you have 5000 players on.

And they've said they'll have instanced and otherwise open areas in Huxley. Alot easier to set up a small server to play against bots than open up a massive field with nobody to shoot at for E3.
