Hi, just wondered if anyone can find hard evidence that an athlon64 2400+ will or wont actually play huxley?
I have 1gb ram and a 6600gt 256mb gcard, I have read all the 'system spec' posts here and obviously the general concensus is that a 2.8ghz processor is needed, but still no hard evidence.
Heres a linky to an old piece of news, in the last paragraph mark rein confirms that a 6600gt will be the minimum requirement for U3.
I just gotta know about the processors for sure

So c'mon, lets see the proof!

I'll probably get flamed by that kid again for posting this; but atleast 80% of the gaming community agrees that next gen will require this because of what current specs are rising to.

Now you're talking about for playing it on medium settings I'm going to take it?

What are the PC system requirements?

Recommended:

3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
1 GB System RAM
ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card
Minimum System Requirements:

Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows XP 64-bit
512MB System RAM
2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
128MB Direct3D compatible video card
and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
8x DVD-ROM drive
4.6 GB free hard disk space
DirectX 9.0c (included)
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Keyboard, Mouse

That's for oblivion.
Take a look at oblivion, take a look at the U3 engine stuff coming out.
Take a common sense guess, it's just about 2.8-3.0Ghz to work it on medium.

There's my (almost) hard evidence.

I have to appologise for some incorrect info in my first post. I dont have a 2400+ I meant a 3400+, the 2400 is the mhz on that card. And secondly i found this info on oblivion, which might relate somewhat to huxley seeing as oblivion is using U3 http://uk.gamespot.com/features/6147127/index.html

The stats I posted are the official stats from Bethesda.

If you have anything over an AMD 3200+ you should be fine.
