Default Things That Draw You Towards Huxley

What makes me wanna play this game so bad?


1) Post-Nuclear Scenario, I was a huge fan of the Fallout series
2) MMO, Love mmos like WoW, EQ, Guild Wars
3) FPS' - huge fps fan, CS:S, CS 1.6, CoD:UO

Its a MMOG... Thats a FPS.. With some RPG elements! Thats basicly it :lol:

I love planetside and neocron, im hopeing huxley is like neocron without all the bugs and a lot more players.

Its an MMOFPS with the Unreal 3 graphics engine, is going to have massive 100 vs 100 battles, possibly even three way if the NPC's get involved, plus its got some amazing vehicles.

That alone was enough to draw me in, .

hoping for a Planetside with hit boxes, less vehicle dependence, and some more balance of weapons

hopefully some more close quarters stuff, like in buildings or through towns, and maybe some better planned objectives so people dont just jump from hotzone to hotzone

Because i'll be playing it. I'm so sexy, i'll only play games im playing, or plan on playing. If im not playing it, obviously it isnt good enough for me, so I don't play it.

For me it is all for the gameplay that it looks like it might have.

The cool looking vehicles (And screw if there is a dependance, vehicles are meant to be used in warfare. If you're a grunt get AV or get out of the way.)

The weapons that can bring out different gameplay then in PS.

I have to say my first impression was Starcraft FPS, with you being a Marine and having to take a mineral deposit before a rogue Terran Squad wipes you out. And to top it off there are a bunch of Zerg that'll rush you if you aren't prepared.

Things I like so far:
The 'look' of the game, the unique style, the soundtrack I've heard, MMO, skills development, Battle Grounds, and the apparent attention to detail.

Things I'm looking forward to:
Classes, vehicles, weapons, and the trade system.

Stuff I don't know about, but I would like to:
Server setup, openess of the world, item management, and character customization.

Its an MMOFPS unreal style twitch shooter with a dash of strategy, whats not to like. Lets just hope the devs can deliver what they promise.

MMOFPSage basically. I want some strategy, tactics and logistics to go with my gun toating killing spree. If we don't get some of that I'll just stick with good ole PS.

1) Sci-fi aspect
2) Graphics
3) A Non-mainstream company making the game, thus most likely won't be money hores like soe and devs not doing anything. Yes that was a rant
4) Game aspects like the exp system, both pvp and pve in an mmofps.

Everything you guys are mentioning are great reasons to look foward to this game. one additional reason to look foward to an MMOFPS is that there is no reason to have a "roll of the dice" combat system. one of the most frustrating things about playing an MMORPG (say for example City Of Heros) is Being killed by an energy blast that trevels around corners and even through walls simply because the computer decided that you will be hit.

EXACTLY, there are very few MMO's based on skill. Games like WoW DO NOT need skill, given that you are mildly competant and have better gear than the enemy you win. I wish the whole dice roll rpg system would go die, we need MMO's with combat that factors more than 5% of the players skill. Thankfully a game called Roma Victor tries to change this rpg maths combat crap with actual combat. After I quit WoW I vowed never again to play an MMO that uses a system so skilless, thing is that means I won't play 90% of MMO's.

Edit: turn based crapbat, I mean combat, is also quite easy to code when compared to using actual hit detection and location based damage. Of course I notice that combat like that will stress a server alot more than turnbased crapbat.

I have played a couple of MMOs and kinda liked them, especially Matrix Online, only thing i dont like is the fact that combat is a little random, so MMO + FPS = Perfect option for me.

The fact that it's an MMOFPS attracts me greatly. The fact that there is some form of PvE in this game greatly turns me away. Just waiting for E3 at this point to decide if it's even worth the upgrades.
