I used to be big into q3 trickjumping/ctf and was a co-founder clan iT (Infinite Trajectory - some of you may be familiar with it). I also played a lot of ut2k4 ONS and WoW...so I'm pretty stoked about this game, being a fan of both FPS and RPG genres.
At the moment, I'm deployed to Iraq as an air force computer nerd with only a few weeks left. After I get back, I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things and return to a life of pwning some noobs. |

*CENSORED*. If this game incorporates UT2K4 or Q4s "hyper fast" gameplay, I.E. jumping around like morons and trying to get mega kills it will totally ruin teamplay, destroy any possibility of strategy be it large or small scale. Underpower vehicals and not to mention produce a sh*tty game.

There's no need to go all emo on us, Buzz. They're not going to incorporate EVERYTHING from quake/ut, and they already mentioned that vehicles will be powerful, but not so much that a person doesn't stand a chance if he doesn't hop in a vehicle every time he/she spawns.

P.S: Anybody else see the irony of somebody named "Fallen" calling me emo? *Quote removed* *Removed by moderator* When you have a game like UT2k4, a game based entirely around twitch. No teamwork or organization but pure player twitch skill you can not have a large scale organized game. UT2k4's "Onslaught" mode was a total failure. Nobody worked together, clans didn't thrive in that environment. The game was simply too fast paced for anybody to do anything REMOTELY strategic on those games. End result? a terrible ripoff of PlanetSide's lattice system. Christ, the cash-cow EA made BF2 had more teamwork then UT2k4. See, I come from games like Rainbow Six, Operation Flashpoint, Ghost Recon. But, those slower "sim" games weren't the only ones that had teamwork. I also used to play original QTF and later TFC, both based on the Quake engine and both incorporating a massive amount of teamwork. My main concern with Huxley is that you will have larger outfits from PlanetSide (mine) who could do combined arms on a large organized scale be essentially forced to be a small scale "twitch" outfit. Why would we be "forced" to do that? Because organized, large scale movements are a disadvantage due to speed. Moving together as a team is a disadvantage because of the speed, all of these things are HINDERED by the "hyper fast" action. This is my point of view, it is merely an opinion - However I (unlike most people here) am not going in to Huxley with my pants around my ankles *CENSORED*. I'm pessimistic, little info, Korean developer, bad "clues" regarding gameplay. I'll be critical and hopefully happily proven wrong when the game comes out.

Until Huxley gets compared to BF2, WoW, CS, PS, or any other crap games like that just expect Huxley to be a much better, much smaller, Onslaught. If you hate Quake and UT and think they take absolutely no skill than what are you doing wanting to play a game that has been said to be like them? |

Because it's gameplay details aren't confirmed/revealed with footage yet, and if there is any method to bring out advanced teamplay in Huxley, we will be able to do it. It is still MMO and therefor fundamentally different than UT and thus we have hope, but it's cautious because of ignorant ADHDers like you that give developers the wrong idea about what makes an "organized" FPS quality.

By smaller I meant more closed. I also forgot to mention I do not expect it to having the same objectives as Onslaught. When I was comparing the two I basically meant it will be like Onslaught in which fast paced action is put together with vehicles. Huxley will have vehicles AND will be fast-paced combat like UT. So seeing as Huxley will be fast paced and have vehicles and Onslaught is the gameplay style in which Huxley will have and has vehicles I can only assume that the two will be quite similar combat wise, not objective wise. Lastly you said they mentioned the game will be like PlanetSide. In case you were too *CENSORED* to figure it out they meant it as to the game will be like PlanetSide as in it too will be a MMOFPS. Thats it. It's gameplay will be like UT. GG |

Why do you hope that to be the case when that would cause the game to fail?

Rainbow Six is not a strategic FPS, but it is still teamplay oriented. We, if the game allows us, will operate tactically, even if the scope for strategy is not there. Adding the MMO factor to a game like UT or Quake without also increasing emphasis on organization (while maintaining high action) will make it worse.
As for the WoW comparison, you cannot possibly comprehend how much the members of The Enclave have grown to hate that game. We disagree with everything from it's infamous imbalance to instanced PvP (something you apparently DO enjoy). Stop being a hypocrit and accept that your preferred play style is that of eleven year olds that will never move the genre forward.
