Default What amuses me most about all of this

This forum (and all others like it) is really just one big waste of bandwidth. It's the Obsess-o-tron 9000: a huge collection of fanboys talking about what they want/think/hope/fear that this game will be, totally absent of information, or reason.

Consider the kinds of topics you meatheads are talking about. "Should crafting be included," "should you be able to turn traitor," "what should armor look like," "what kinds of guns should they include," et cetera ad nauseum. Well, guess what! Your opinions are TOO LATE.

The odds are a thousand to one that everything you chuckleheads are debating HAVE ALREADY BEEN DECIDED. And what hasn't been hammered down will be sorted out/changed in the testing phase.

I've seen it before a thousand times. A game is announced. Fansites go up. The forums are filled with meaningless speculation until the game (or at least the beta) comes out, at which point, months of babble are immediately revealed to have been an exercise in uselessness, with no purpose beyond maintaining interest in the game.

Developers are NOT cruising the forum to see what YOU think about racial abilities. They are very creative people, and they have their OWN ideas. And unless THEIR ideas don't work, THEY WILL IMPLEMENT THEM. Hell, even if they DON'T work, they'll probably implement them anyway.

Does that mean that this site should be shut down? No. But instead of speculating, opinionating and obsessing over game mechanics that no member of the general public knows about, focus on talking about things you DO know ... AND finding out as many HARD FACTS as you can about the game. This should satisfy your fanboy impulses without being a complete waste of bandwidth.

The immoral of the story here is simple: Don't be stupid.

Thats all good, but you realize you just added to the "bandwith waste" with a post everyone already know the content of?

All you have to do if you feel uneasy or skittish when you see RPG threads or craft threads is just not to click that left mouse button right?

Ah, yes, the old "you're HERE, aren't you?" argument. To which I can only respond with the Moran's Law: A forum member's post count is inversely proportional to the relevance of their posts.

I just dont see why you feel the need to get that post off your chest.

Let me refer to Lexions Law:

What are you... Communist? If you don't like it then leave. It's not as if you are going to affect our ways of thinking. To each his own... except for you.

Nobody actually cares that everything has already been decided about the game. Nobody actually thinks the developers are going to implement their ideas into the game. Nobody actually knows much about the game at all, so until E3, all we have to do is speculate about the game and its features, content, etc. And guess what? Nobody actually gives a fuck that you think you're better than us because you've "seen it before a thousand times."

The moral of this story is: Don't get onto a high horse to make an ass of yourself.

well for one thing if i was making a game that had this kind of hype i would read the forums as it would show the hopes of the comunity and things that you might put in.

also it gives us something to do as we talk on the forums and get to know the comunity

the game is not out yet, yet these forums are not a wast of space as it draws people in and forms a comunity

but good job posting a "you people are all stupid and wasting bandwith post" even though your wrong

Default Get Over It

I think it is nice people are exited about what the game could bring and imagining what it will be like, hy are you so worried about what people are posting, Alot is not confirmed about the game anyway so why not just let people be happy being social on a forum.

I am going to lock this thread because I like people talking about the game and meeting new people interested in Huxley, I do not want people reading this kind of post because it does not help people understand any more about the game so this thread is just as pointless as you think the others are from our fellow members (I Do Not Think Our Posts On Huxley Are Pointless Atall)

Thankyou for your input and opinion anyway but please be more positive in future.
