Awesome, where did you get this? Also do you think the amd 3700+ socket 754 processor should be ok for this? I plan on getting a 7900 GT but really hope I dont need to also upgrade the processor.

Its stated if you can run Doom 3, youll be ok. Graph card n RAM is always most important.

Sweet! I run Doom 3 at ULTRA graphics With highest AA and AF, and have a decent frame rate, does that mean that Huxley will run good on my system?

LOL

You DONT run doom3 smoothly with your rig at ultra with 6AA and 16AF assuming a resolution beyond 1024.
Never ever unless you are satisfied with low fps and slow loading times.

I always run on resolution at 800x600 and quite happy if I keep above 10 to 15 fps
With my rig I'm quite happy without the tripplelayered superrealism. I can do without the fuzzy lighting from light being diffused in someones hair.
*edit*
But I sure wouldn't mind if I could...

768mb of RAM wont suffice for UE3 though, 2gb+ for the win.

If your comp can run TES IV: Oblivion to a good standard then I'm pretty sure youll be fine for Huxley. The Devs were qouted to be using a heavily modified version of the U3E, so the system requirements might be lower, or god forbid higher than stated above.

1stly. Doom 3 is at 6AA and 16AF at the screen res of 800x600 at Ultra GPHX and have a frame rate of 42-53 and about 30seconds-1 minute load time. *note* that IS a playable framerate, since the human eye can only see about 40 frames a second.

2ndly. 768mb of ram will surfice. I've played games with this good of graphics on 256mb of ram! (doom 3, on my old pc)

Get two 7900GTX. Those are extremly better than the 7800GTX. 100 more in the number but 1000 times better. The chart doesnt lie. I cant post the chart. And I forgot where the link is. But trust me. It's on a chart.

Or if you want to not spend as much money go for two 7900 GTs. That is what I will be doing and it is still better than two 7800 GTX.

I can run Doom 3 at 1024 x 768 with ultra settings and I get 25-30 FPS...

But HUXLEY looks like it's going to take a heavier toll on my computer than anything else I've ever played....

My question is... will I need a Nvidia graphics card to benefit from all the new Nvidia technology implemented into the graphics engine?

It'd help if a Dev could help with this one.

My Computer:
RADEON X800 GTO 256 Mb
512 MB RAM (Mind you, I had 2 gigs but all My RAM just failed me a few days ago)
AMD Athlon XP3200+
Asus AN45 Mobo.

Its not the best, but it works.

I am not sure about needing an Nvidia card to benefit from the technology but what I do know is that you are better off getting an Nvidia card, especially if you are on a budget. Nvidia has a ton of great cards at great prices that beat just about all ATI cards.

Linkage?

I'm looking to build a new system, And I have the $$$ (Under $1500 please).

Preferably, could you link me to something on NewEgg? Because I dont know what I'm looking for.

Well it seems as if alot of these cards have been selling out fast on newegg. You can still do the "notify me later" thing im not sure how quickly they restock. Anyways here is a list of what I think are all the 7900 GT's and 7900 GTX's on newegg. Keep in mind that both of these are much better than the 7800 GTX.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

Next here is the 7600 GT this one was also newly released. It is the chepest but also runs great especially if you go sli with it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

One last thing, it seems as if EVGA has the best quality cards. I would try getting one of theirs first. If you also want to find benchmarks for these cards just google 7900 GT, 7900 GTX, or 7600 GT Benchmarks, whichever card you want to see. Hope that helped.
