Well I want to warn any Developers of Huxley, if a lot of the planetside community will be coming over to play this game you might want to have some tolerance as to whining. One of the main reasons Planetside went down hill and many people started disliking it was because of whiners who didn't like getting killed all the time because they sucked. They complained about everything and anything, and the devs listened to them and changed weapons and made Battle robots so that noobs could sit in a corner and just spam bullets and feel good bout themselves withought having any skill. Not only that but planeteside was made up by a very intensely close and competitive community and many of those players had to leave because of noobish horrible players. So what I'm trying to say in this post is that if you want this game to outlast PS then their must be some hesitation on the developers part when reading what players suggest or complain about.

Hi Kai, 8)
Its the same thing in every game, i think developper need to listen the player but they need to make a difference between a bad idea and a good one... For my part who kill me and who i kill is not very important, i only need the action this kind of game give me..so no point in staying in a corner and doing almost nothing to win.... |

I agree, I'm all for balance but 'Nerfing' everything that gets complained about just isnt the way.
Being an Ex BFR pilot I know how stupid it feels to have to run away like a girl when I see INFANTRY. Honestly, some people just cannot adjust to change, they get into a little routine (like counterstrike players) and whine and moan about anything that has to change that routine... Sad Really, the best part about Planetside was one had to think on their feet as you were in an ever changing battle, not some deathmatch.

Thats not what I mean, Deathmatches are pretty straight forward compared to virtual tactical warfare.

Well take CounterStrike. Players generaly follow a routine, they know the map, they know where players will attack them from. Now imagine somthing changes and they no longer can rely on that routine...

Yeah, damn whiners killed my surgile! The Rexo buff combined with the surgile nerf slowed planetside down to a snails pace, thats why I left (the first time). I agree that surgile needed fixing, but not at the expense of infantry gameplay. I like the op dont want to see the game dumbed down, hopefully the devs will make all the right choices. I want battles to be quick, bloody and fast paced like RTWC: enemy territory or UT2k4.

Yeah if its fast paced with the same type of UT2k4 engine then that will be a lot of fun. Then you will have to learn how to adjust to someone shooting at u and be able to dodge and attack. I'm really looking forward to how this dev team works because I've never played ne of their games before. Ne one have word of a beta, or main website?

Devs probably should read all that is posted, evening if it is whining... they need to look at it carefully before making any changes.... they cant just go changing everything because a few people didnt like this or that... if a good amount of people complain about something, they should really investigate it.... Devs just need to be all around careful with what they do, no matter how much they want to please everyone, can turn out to be another PS if they dont.
