How long will battles last between clans? Imagine having a big enough clan for a 24 hour battle. Where there are a bunch of teams within a clan so that they can take turns in the battle. That would be cool.

a non-stop battle like that for control of an outskirt city would be cool tho, just going on nonstop for control over a minr city that has like free oil for your car or something would be kinda neat, or has like a trasport system, that you need to take over in order to advance to where you need to go, like a gate to another place

I think there would have to be a duration to the battle, if you had to sit there as a clan defending your holdings constantly , it will get old really quick. ie try playing the same map 100 times in a row in any fps. Plus youd have no way of exploiring the other game content ie killing lots of hybrids.

Listen up, its both. Youll have instances for clan on clan and a persistant battle field for the 120 man war.

Would clan on clan fighting be almost the only fight on the main battlefeilds? not just some side show no one will see. Plus in that way the battle would last as long as you had people alive and online in your outfit . And it is unlikely one to two people walking around the feild alone would kill a clan of any number. So I plan on it bing a clan based battle feild, not that your have to be, but I would think not bing in one would be your death.

The main battle zone will be open 24/7 most likely. The instances are more like arenas where you challenge and invite. This is of course qualified guesses, not 100% actual facts.

Good thing the big clan fights will be in instances... I remember in Neocron, it sucked to be you if you wondered into a zone that was currently being fought over.

Yeah, hopefully there will be some areas that can be contested 24/7. They would, however, somehow have to be designed so that they are worth fighting over but not so important that each side has to have some people fighting and occupying there at all times. I don't know how that would be done, but it would be fun to have constantly changing strategic situations.

Sadly enough a battle cant be persistant, if it is "Timed" or a certian number of "Kills" ends the battle.
If indeed that is the case then its just basicly going to be a big "Virtual Waiting Room" To go into a battle much like a UT death match. Which really does not entice me very much. A persistant battle is much more fun.

Yeah that is sort of the picture that i'm getting.
Its going to be a neat cool little city or two with some single/coop missions to do, and arena fighting...while you get clans togather to go capture some flag in a 30 min to 15 min battle with a Screen that pops up saying who got how many kills during that session. :roll: I don't know..I really hope that it is not like that. God please no! How are you going to get people to pay a subscription for that? That will have about the same impact that NeoCron did...people will not want to pay every month for that...at least not enough to make the game a "Hit".

Ok, Ill say this again. Youll have both. Theyve stated it to be like a big island in the middle surrounded by smaller islands. The middle part is persistant, the smaller islands are instanced battle zones.

So we get one area about the size of Alterc Vally? to battle in a big zerg fashion over the middle part of this island?
Who's going to pay a fee every month for that? You are seriously out of your mind if you think I am. I don't know what the manner of the battles are going to be like...but god if I want to have clan battles i'd join some clan in UT and play that for free every month. I want to have a WAR! With a shite load of other online gamers reguardless of your silly clan. I dont really care if your a member of the power rangers or the carebears and/or what your "Rep" is with King Arthur. I want to have a full scale war, with blood & guts; legs; arms; and brains laying around everywhere! And I want to have this war in a very large virtual world...not map..."world, w.o.r.l.d" the whole world...is where I want fighting to be going on all the time. Except maybe a couple of the Factions "Main" citites for a Safe zone to plan and regroup. Not in a stupid battle ground with a 15 min timer on it...thats not a war... thats a dayum killing spree. And thats not worth paying a subscription fee everymonth to play. When you can do the same thing in any other FPS "multiplayer" game on the market. Now if they want to put some "Arena" type areas or small "Maps" in where people can duel or do 15 man clan vs clan matches ...fine. But just so that everyone knows, most people from games like World of Warcraft and PlanetSide are out for blood, not your respect! We want a WAR! Definition of what we want: no-holds-barred, struggling-turmoil for complete domination of a virtual world. ...Now Thats Entertainment!...and well worth $20.00USD a month!
