Default Some noob questions....

hey, i just have some general gameplay questions, but I'm not sure if ill like the answers to them :\

OK,here i go
1. How exactly will you travel in Huxley? will it be possible to walk out the front gate of your city and go exploring?
2. How will combat vehicles work? will you be able to buy them from a shop and drive them around your city? if so, would you lose them if they were destroyed? or will they just be randomly placed about battlezones?
3. Is there/Is there talk of making animations for entering vehicles? or will you just "pop" in and out of them?
4. What are some possible ways to get to the battlezone?
5. Is it likely that Huxley will be released sometime this year? or will i enter a deep depression when/if it gets pushed to the end of 2009?

1. no the areas are all instanced (that I have experience at least), you get there by traveling with train/metro or your car(inside the city at least), there may be other travel forms I have not yet experienced
2.yes you drive around in your car that you buy for the starting price of over 1 mil credits. I don't think they are able to be destroyed(that i know of) and yes they will be in battle zones, tho not all of them
3.Im not sure about the animation, since i don't speak korean :/
4.to get to pve you go through a nearby teleporter, and for pvp its a different teleporter I have not gotten very far so im not so sure about all of the possible techniques
5.I'm guessing beta for US will be sometime in 09 then realese will be soon after since korea is beta testing it for us, lol

Those spawn in the battlefields like in BF:2 or Unreal Tournament 2004 and UT3.

Webzen announced that they wanted to do a US beta near the end of 2008, but that's just a maybe.

And I seem to remember a clip of seeing someone climb into a vehicle, but that just might be my imagination. However if you do just pop in and out of vehicles, it really doesn't change the feel very much. You pop in and out of vehicles in UT2k4 and in UT3 and in the BF games, but I never really notice.

I don't know if they'd be up for any real suggestions about Huxley at the moment. They have a lot of the game completed by now. But hey, it doesn't hurt to try. You just gotta find a way to reach them.

If you want to make comments, and have them take notice, you will need to take part in the beta for your country.

Very true Once the English beta rolls around, we better all make sure we put in our two cents

Damn right, no point being in a beta if you aren't gonna post some critisism.
Beta testers are a vital piece in getting the game released, so we all have to step up, and do out part.

The more harsh you can be the better. If they get a bunch of feedback saying "oh yeah the games pretty good but I suppose you could change some things."

They aren't going to change anything.

But if you make a big stink about every little thing, maybe some of the stuff will turn out better

Yep, I agree, if enough people mention the same thing, it will hopefully get fixed.
But, you always get 1 person on the forums who will want something completely crazy adding, that is just way too hard to add, and unneeded anyway, lol.
Seen it for so many games, Huxley is bound to have a few.

Luckily those will probably be few and far between.

I would think it would be unlikely that any main game mechanics would get changed anyway. Unless of course literally everyone made a big fuss about some major part of the game.

Too true, the beta players are here to tidy the game up, and get it into a releasable state, not change it completely.
Those that think they will have huge input are wrong, as we're only a small part of getting the game ready.
A lot of it is to check server stability more than anything.
