I've been getting tired of waiting for Huxley and waiting to see new goddamn Korean content so why haven't anyone in the forums made any vids seeing as some of the people here are playing the beta. Its almost selfish that you don't share the joy, I can understand if the beta ended but if it hasn't, make a 5-10min v-doc of the game and your char or something its really not that hard.
and if there is user made content then please give me a link. |

Because pretty much everybody that was playing, didn't play for very long and just gave up.
Several reasons. 1-Not being able to understand a lick of Korean and getting stuck on some quests and forced to grind(especially around lev 13-14, which is where I gave up). The grind in this game is extremely tedious and when you couple it with the very annoying bugs, it wears you out quick. 2- Not being able to participate in simulation pvp because your ping is too high and not being able to participate in world pvp because you didn't want to grind to 21. I don't even know if you could participate in world pvp either, since it is instanced battlegrounds there's possibly ping restrictions there also. 3- The incredibly annoying bugs. Sniper rifles bugging up and veering miles away from the intended target, regulators not dropping shields, invisible mobs on a few occasions, very low drop rate quest items. Just to name a few. I had every intention of making a video, but since I barely understood what was going or on being said most of the time due to my lack of Korean comprehension, I didn't want to present any potentially wrong information. I also wanted to make a pvp video, but I gave up on monotonously grinding pretty quickly. You're fooling yourself really. I'm quite certain most people who gave the beta a go didn't even make it past level 4. I think it ended on Tuesday also, not sure. I'm just going to wait. |

waiting seems to be the best idea :D
I'm glad they got an open beta, and I saw a couple positives coming from a few english speakers who got into the korean beta. But mostly it was just confusion lol. Hopefully an english beta later this year, or early next year will give us a real chance to try it out.

They're planning on an english beta for the end of this year. But those are just plans so nothing is set in stone. If that works out, we'll all be getting a nice taste of Huxley around that time :D

As far as I know an English/North America beta is planned for late year.
I think they just extended the Korean beta also, which means ours might come even later. As somebody who played the game quite a bit, my advice is to just wait. It really is a great game fundamentally, but imo it needs a LOT of work before being commercially released. I'm actually glad we don't have the game right now because it's current state would probably drive a lot of people away. Even if I could understand Korean or it was in English, I'd probably quit in a week or so. Our beta version should be the same commercial version the Koreans will have and we won't have to deal with nearly as many annoyances as they currently are. |
