Default Cone of Fire?

Does Huxley have a cone of fire like Planetside? Or this going to a be the standard hop and head shot combat we've seen in past titles?

Which gun are we talking about? Machine Guns have a cone of fire, Rocket Launchers don't. Shotguns have a cone of fire, Grenade Launchers don't. Snipers have a cone of fire when they're not using their scope, Regulators don't.

All guns and the effects of a cone of fire based on movement. IE standing still your CoF would be much smaller, as opposed to running or long bursts where the CoF would increases in size.

I suppose I want to know if Huxley is a strategic game involving twitch skills and tactics. Or if Huxley is a bunny hopping frag fest based on who can zoom in first while sprinting across a rooftop from 300 meters.

PS - For comparitives I consider Planetside to be strategic and UT to be a bunny hop frag fest. I've played and enjoyed both, however I would prefer the Planetside version for an MMO type FPS.

It's a little of both. The gameplay isn't as fast and reaction based as UT but isn't as slow and tactical as Planetside is (from what I've heard, never played it). On smaller maps reaction times are more crucial but I believe that strategy will be stressed on larger maps.

Your movement has no bearing on your accuracy IIRC. Using the zoom feature many guns have does increase your accuracy but you can only walk while using it. This will cut down on running, bunny hopping snipers.

Good to hear so far, what is the average kill time on a target? I know UT it was 0.5 seconds as a Sniper. In Planetside it varied based on weapon. The proper weapon you'd kill someone in 3-5 seconds and with the wrong weapon but good skills it could take up to 15 seconds.

Also do weapons matter on different target types and is thre ammo and reloading?

Haven't been able to play PvP yet because those with a ping above a certain number cannot join and since we're so far from Korea our ping is most likely astronomical.

On smaller PvE enemies with most weapons Instant death to 5 seconds if you don't miss. When fighting larger, boss-like characters you usually have to take cover or you'll be killed in a few seconds.

You don't have to reload and the max ammo you get for most weapons is a fair amount. When your first spawn (or respawn) you only start out with a fraction of you rmax ammo for each gun (< 50% IIRC). There are points at which you can refill your ammo entirely but in PvE they only have a set amount of uses, after which you must wait a set amount of time before they recharge.

From what we've seen so far, no. I know some guns have a higher maximum ammo limit than others in it's own class IIRC. Also in one of the IGN articles they mentioned guns with special elements/effects on their bullets.

I think hes asking if you can do something like buy armor piercing rounds compared to regular rounds. AP rounds would do more damage but would also be more expensive, im fairly certain they will do this in the cities but I havent played the game so I dont know for sure

From what I've played, no there isn't anything like that in the game.
