typing can only go so far in the midst of battle, i can see the potential problem with ingame mics with up to 100 players per team, but a game like this definitely needs ingame voice communication

I remember reading something a while back that mentioned in game voice communication. They might have something like BF:2 where you can only talk to those in your squad, and then the squad leader can talk to the platoon leader and battle commander etc.

Yeah, that sound a bit right. There has to be some kind of voice chain of command.
