Apartment Questions

i just found out about this game by accident and it looks awesome.
i just have some questions about the apartments we all get

do we have locks?

what kind of locks do we get, a key lock in which only the owner can get in, or a combo lock in which you can give it to a friend to come in?

can we let people in?

if we let anyone in do you think they can steel anything?

do you think its possible to break into someones apartment and steel
stuff?

I doubt you would be able to steal from an apartment, you probably have to be in your apartment so that someone can come in.

It'd be highly unlikely that people will be able to break in, in game. It's a game mechanic that doesn't make sense. You probably can choose who can come in by themselves, like friends or clan members.

i dont play WoW but i heard that people used to be able to break in because the balcony (spelling?) door was always unlocked and people used boxes to stack themselves up into peoples houses.

i know its highly unlikly but you never know

Unless something has changed in WoW since I quit, they don't have player housing in WoW so it might have been a different game.

As for Huxley player housing, it might be something that resembles Starwars Galaxies, as in you can either enter in certain names that are allowed into your house, or you can just allow anyone into your house (you couldn't steal anything, just look at it).

But obviously Huxley isn't SWG so it could be done anyway they please. I wonder if the capital city will just have huge sections of player housing, or if it'll be more like instanced housing and everyone is just kind of crammed into one building.

yea I.R. there isn't housing in wow so who ever told you that was on crack lol that sounds like a U.O. problem theres housing in U.O. that isn't in a instance that anybody at any time and mess with, i miss that game sometimes lol

haha sounds like that might be fun (for a little at least lol). I never played U.O. but it could be fun just sit there and defend your house all day :D And get some awesome stuff to put in it just so you know people would come and try to steal it.

Now that I think about it, I don't think i'd want players breaking into my house and stealing all my stuff lol. It would be cool to kind of protect your home, but I can just see myself getting screwed over and over.

I'm really curious as to how much you can customize your apartment though. Cause I mean, they could really go crazy with it if they wanted to, or they could just have a building that you walk into and it's just the same static room for everyone.

Hopefully they'll put some thought into it and make it a cool part of the game.

i saw it on a tv special about mmo hacking. im not sure if it was WoW

Hopefully this game will at least have a command center or field base for players to chat without tracers flying over there heads and weird bugs trying to eat them. ;3

If there is housing or apartments man that would be interesting like adding in the ability to watch the news.

just a guess but would probly whould be like SWG where you the owner are the admin and you can grant others the right to come in or even move and pick up items
i havent read anything about player houseing yet but if there is then my excitement about this game has just risen 100%

haaha yea when fighting an enemy guild you could stand on ur balcony and shoot arrows and alot of other crazy crap
