Ok. I get that there will be a big city to travel around and instanced dungeons and battlefields. But, will there be an "outside world"? Can you travel around the countryside from town to town like an RPG?
Ive read about multiple cities but not if there is any territory between them. Also, will there be crafting or trade skills? Resource gathering? I know its an MMOFPS not MMOFPSRPG but I think it's the RPG stuff that will give the game legs. Also would be cool if you cold take control of NPCs in opposing faction instanced dungeons. |

Yes yes and yes.
There will be crafting skills, and because of that there is a possibility of over 1000 weapons types. If I'm lying, I'm dying.

i have wondered the same thing will there be a Outworld or it ALL about Battle Zones and no surprising people and making people mad. That was the real fun part on WoW

hmm there are many infos around but nothing more continously..
so this game will be PvP only like Planetside? or It will be PvP + PvM ? We will level via PvP or PvM only? We will get cert. points for equipment/vehicles via levels/skills or it will be based on buying from PvM money? Will be seamless world or some big instances for 1000 players like planetside.. or more like guildwars = few small instances.. ? thanks I know many info about Huxley, but still cant fit it to any genre.. if there is crafting, then its not mmofps. mmofps is about pure pvp, skills cert points from pvp etc.. I dont know what I want. I tried Tabula Rasa (mmofps pvm) and it was boring.. Im playing wow and I dislike the PvP grind for items. Players that dislike PvP going x month to get equip from raids.. PvP players grind honor 1 month and have best equip..that is not fair. I hope it will be like planetside. pure pvp, some big instances with many players, factions (races) will fight for big outposts. killing players = level = cert.points for eqip/vehicles from hangars. no levels/maps like CS .. persistent world I like games with crafting..pvm..etc but I never game where both was good and mixed. Every mmorpg where is PvM and PvP something goes wrong.. there can be only good pvp game or pvm game.. not both. so im scared about mixing this in huxley. Im scared because if there will be crafting, there must be money, so it will be equip based game and that is not good :-( pvp based on equip is frustrating. Yes if there will be game where equip can be from PvP or via crafters from PvM, in same quality same difficulty same time, then it will be OK. Some ppl going dungeons.. get some money.. then get equip from crafters - OK PvP ppl going PvP, get cert.points from pvp, ten get equip from cert.points - OK but PvM based on "go go raid for 5 month to get set" + PvP where you can get it quickly just AFKing and leeching in pvp instance = BAD. not fair at all |

Well theres a large element of this game which will be based on the mmorpg styles but thats only when your not battling and are able to view your character in a 3rd person view and do typical mmorpg quests when not fragging people.

so it will be something like WoW? PvM + PvP ?
So why 99% of screens and videos are from PvP? Everyonere is only about PvP. I hope it will be full game, pvp + pvm. but good pvp+pvm. as I said. nothing like pvm = hard to get stuff, pvp = easy as 1-2-3 |

and which kind of fight there will be?
only instanced fight? and object based? (something like big instance where 100vs100 fighting for station)? and why? which rewards? im still trying to compare this to Planetside.. where players battle for stations.. |

You gain levels by advancing your character on two different fields (we'll think of them as Exp. bars). You gain experience on one bar by fighting in PvE missions and killing NPC monsters. You gain experience in the other bar by fighting in PvP battles. Once you gain enough exp. in these bars you will level up. At first you will be able to level up just by focusing on a certain area (such as PvE). but once you get a certain amount of PvE experience you will need to do some PvP if you want to level up. So it's a combination of both PvE and PvP fighting that will level up your character. There will be PvP fighting, as well as PvE (or as you said PvM) fighting. According to the information we have at the moment we can confirm that the game is separated into multiple cities and battlefields. In the battlefields (which are instanced) players will engage in games that are either PvP, PvE, or PvP/PvE (PvP/PvE being where you fight off NPC monsters while enemy players are also in the area). The PvP battlefields will include gametypes such as deathmatch, team deathmatch, part pickup (which is like capture the flag, but when you win you build a big robot or something), and satellite capture (which resembles BattleField 2 gameplay where you fight to capture certain points on a map and hold them to gain points). The PvP battlefields will hold up to 100 vs 100 player battles (despite what a recent interview says which kind of muddies up the waters, but I'll stick to 100 vs 100 for now) The PvE battlefields seem like they will be driven by accepting and completing missions given by NPCs. In these you will fight hordes of NPC monsters called Hybrids. There are a couple gameplay videos that show PvE fighting, as well as some screenshots if you look for them. Huxley Evolved - A Huxley Game (MMOFPS) Fansite has a good collection of screenshots. Huxley Evolved - A Huxley Game (MMOFPS) Fansite at the bottom of that page there are a couple PvE screenshots About armor being unfair. Keep in mind this game isn't WoW. Or any other typical MMORPG. Don't even think of it as resembling Planet Side. Huxley will be VERY different from Planet Side and any MMORPG. A big focus of the developers is to make it so armor will help, but that the focus will be on FPS skill. Webzen has said on multiple occasions that a lower level play will have a good chance to beat a higher level player. We don't know much about the different kinds of armor, or if armor will even drop at all of things that you kill (whether they be NPC monsters or enemy players) There will be a very large amount of different types of armor and weapons, we just don't really know how you'll get them, and if you can only get certain items from PvE and other items from PvP.

Yeah a lot of people want a game where you can kind of just roam around and explore all day and have battles come up in random squad vs squad or 1v1 skirmishes and then let them expand into huge battles.
Unfortunately it sounds like Huxley will have instanced battlefields so there won't be that exact kind of thing happening. However I'm pretty sure we'll be able to get the same feel as if we were just roaming around and happen to stumped across an enemy patrol. The 100 vs 100 maps will be huge so there's no doubt we'll have to do a good bit of scouting and traveling in general from place to place so there is bound to be some squads running into each other at random and creating a hot spot on the map. We can all just hope for the best until the game comes out
