I'm pretty sure they'll market to europe, we're pretty big FPS gamers this side of the pond, especialy the British, Swedish and Germans.

I expect the beta to start sometimes after e3. closed testing. A first stress test. more closed testing. invite some people for the actual beta we could get in. another stress test ect ect. with the game coming out in oh winter of this year. 360 version coming out beginning of next.

Low specs computers, High specs computers, experienced online gamers, new online gamers, it all depends on the type of audience they want to try out at one time. What they did in Dark and Light is first allow the high specs, the next week allow low specs, then allow slightly active players followed by the extremely active players and so on. Whether you will or won't be chosen is completely up to what they want at the time. That's the first beta, then they usually have a second which only invites players who participate in other services, for example a member in fileplanet as Lexion said or if you buy a game in a game store and you get a beta voucher for 3 days. The third beta is then when you can actually get it simply by pre-ordering but these aren't as common. Lexion pretty much covered this but I thought I'd add a bit of detail to make things clear

No, the right way to get inside information, is to lure a huxley programmer from the damp dark depth of the programmers cave with a hot slice of pizza with extra cheese.
Then, when his or her beady cavedwelling eyes are blinded by natural light, you throw a blanket over its eyes and transport him to a storage-space and promise it more pizza in return for inside info. It's so obvious that I wonder why you guys haven't thought of it before. |

Post E3 or right near E3 I would assume the official huxley site will be released, in both Korean and American versions. As the publisher is Korean, the closed beta will begin there first. Hopefully there will be a simultaneous release of the beta as far as languages go so that they can soon open the closed beta in America. A few months after this, probably late July-August or so, open beta will start. Another month or two of this, then release. That is how I see things going, plus this allows time for the hardware prices to drop for certain pieces that will allow the game to run smoothly for a higher number of people, it is the unreal 3 engine after all and not everyone has a 6800gt/X800XT++. The main delays are going to be the fact that it is being released to both a Korean and American audience, so the amount of translations that have to be done in order to accomplish something is ridiculous, but hopefully it will pay off.

if I understand correctly the Unreal3 engine is still in development, can this be a couse for delay for beta/release?
or is the engine allready done?

Nah, the only thing I think is delaying the beta at this jucture is that the game is being developed in Korea. With that in mind I wouldnt be surprised if Korea got their hands on the beta first then us a few months later.

I bet Fileplanet will hold a weekend beta or members only beta for this. It seems to be their thing and I love being a subscriber because of it.
I'm definitely going to be trying to get our guild some invites based off our large mature member base. Anyone know what Xtreme Gamers relationship is with Webzen? They say they "Work directly with Webzen in there closed beta's." and that's definitely something XoO needs in on.
