nah the head mounting thing is a little dated i would go for a predator style system like for instence one of its chain guns attatched to its arm mounted on the wall would look cool... get a little alter of enemy parts going....

A bed made out of hybrid blades. MMMM cushiony!
But not just an alter maybe spoons made from bones and tables made form skulls. Shoot a couch made from hybrid hide. Feels like leather but has the smell of sewage.

i wonder if one can collect armor from fallen foe's to decorate.
" and over here is the armor that belonged to guyver in our third battle, note the two huge holes in his stomach, i did that with a shot gun at near point blank range.." " here i have the helmet of some random soldier, note most of it is missing due to me getting trigger happy with a mini-gun. " |

Pathetic human! Guyver has bullet proof armor. LOL
Really he does in the series. Back on track though. Vivin makes a good point. Creativity is an important asset to this game. I mean if you think customizing a room is boring then why customize the character? Or for that fact why customize weapons? Customizeing a character is an important part of a players personality. It's all just for show.

i could see it as being a way to show status more than anything for solo players or guilds. like look at my "phat crib" heh. but yea check messages, maybe things you find while you are questing like artifacts. put that in there, maybe you will have to rest like in WoW to lvl faster have xp bonuses, use it as a locker to keep all ur diff types of armor and weps.

Well I really hope they dont make it into a big RPG thing. I am not real crazy about sitting around pretending to drink ale in your apartment.
no harm meant of course... I just want a little less "Talk" and a lot more "Action"... Let's get on down to the "Main Attraction", which would be me shooting you with a "TimeBomb" sniper round and killing half your buddies in the process!

they would pull in alot more people if they tend to both genres. Coming from a rpg and fps background I hope they do have lots of "extras". I tend to get sick and bored of full on action 24/7. They need to have other things todo, and apartments would be a good one.

I think this would be a great idea. It could be used as shelter when you're low on health, a place to store your stuff, a place to plan, etc. It would also serve as something for high level characters to put money into. It could even provide grounds for robberies, etc. You could prevent them by getting chests, etc. and just cary the keys around with you.

Theres no fighting and of course no robberies in the player owned housings. And therefor you dont need to restore your health there either.

The apartments will be places to store armor and weapons, so i am guessing you will have some armor or weapons hanging on the walls. Though trophies from the battlegrounds would be pretty cool to put in. I still say that you should be able to collect rank insignias from the oposing faction and be able to mount them on your weapon or sell to a vendor.

I used to play Galaxies (back in the day). I remember having a house that me and my buddy would just load up with weapons, armor, and loot. We'd have rooms that had nothing but weapons on one wall and armor stacked against the others. And we had some loot that was worth quite a bit of in-game currency.
The whole idea was that it was awesome to bring somebody in and say "Hey, check out my Krayt skull on the wall." So, I'm all for apartment customization. |
