Dont compare games to Huxley.. in the future people will compare games to Huxley because it will be its own game... if u understand where im wit this? n e wayz... PS is dirt compared to this game.. PS is still a good game tho.. but dirt compared

I just want to bring out a point. Huxley isn't even released yet, we don't know if its gonna be a flop or best PC game ever released. anyways what i am getting around to saying is "don't compare other games to something that isn't released yet."

Ahh... Don't remind me of Neocron played that game for a week and then just quit it. from the looks of it Huxley is good eye candy but we don't know what's really deep inside the belly of this beast.

I had the best time in an MMO on Neocron... Damn Devs slowly killed it... Huxley has the potential to be a very mind blowing game... Lets hope these Devs arn't like Reakktor.

You really had to look for the fun in Neocron, like getting involved in the huge England V Germany Clan Wars =P It was like WW2 all over again.

Hmm,
I dont know...I'm starting to get turned off already. No friendly fire, relatively small instanced type Battle Grounds like in WoW, You have to buy your vehicle everytime someone "One-Shots" it. hmm... I don't know if I like these ideas. In PlanetSide you can't just run get another one if you get one and you get owned ...you have to wait for a timer to expire before you can get another one. You'd have to make vehicles ungodly overpowerd and with loads of armor just to make it to where you could get away before your vehicle got blown up and you have to "Repurchace another one". No...dont like that Idea at all...very big turn off.

Yeah it was the same in Neocron, saving up for an expensive vehicle just to have some noob blow it up. Hopfully it will just get disabled and require repairs.
Dont be too discouraged mate, don't write off the game till it's at least released in Beta, this game has a lot of potential.

Honestly I like the idea of limiting vehicle use for 2 reasons.
1. Owners are going to use them sparingly & not on "suicide runs" that are only tactically sound in a video game or if you're Japanese. When vehicles res for free driving down your last 5 opponents seems a better idea although your vehicle might be destroyed. This way there's a consequence. 2. The game isn't going to turn into a driving game instead of a FPS. Although the battles in PS are large, they stray away from an individual being able to create an impact on the battle. Not to mention you don't have to worry that much, if nobody else can see any positives to limited vehicles, the game designers will alter it in an update down the road if everyone hates it. |

I don't mind timers...or making them fairly longer than what you might want them to be to limit the "Abuse" of vehicles.
But having to repurschase them and stuff ...not really my cup of tea. I can see buying the certification "One-Time" for a said price what would allow you to aquire that type of vehicle. But not buying the vehicle over and over again. This ain't gonna be "Grand Turismo" or SWG...its an MMOFPS...that happens to be "persistent". If everyones vehicle gets blown up in like 10 mins, and they can't get another one back in the battle within about 15 or 20 mins, well...there goes that part of the fight. Thats going to slow the tempo of the fight way down. I can also see repairs being a "Hasty" thing that another players had the ability to do on the battle field like in planet side. You wheel up to a releatively safe place where a combat engenieer is and hell "Glue-Up" your ride for you. If you vehicle does actually get blown up then ...yeah you should have to wait till a timer is up of of some sort before the "Vehicle Giving" dude will give you another one.

Huxley will put the final nail in the coffin of PlanetSide. This is not me saying that Huxley will be good, I'm very very skeptical of a game made by some Korean company notorious for releasing bad games. But, PlanetSide is such a shitty game now that when Huxley DOES come out the desperate and still dwindling population of PS will flock to Huxley, seeking refuge.
Now, either Huxley will be good and kill PlanetSide. Or Huxley will be bad, kill PlanetSide and have it iself die and turn in to what PlanetSide is now. One thing is certain, I'm going to have a real good laugh either way.

The worst part about planetside was how many vehicle whores played. I am guilty of it as well. Fly over a base in my mosquito bail from it to land on the roof and let the plane crash on top and hopefully take someone out as well. I die as soon as I land? no problem I can just immediately do it again. There was no consequence to vehicle suicides. And so everyone and their grandma used them. There was no such thing as infantry battles outside of the bases. It really turned me off. Then they put in BFRs my god could they have ruined the game anymore?
Incredibly overpowered easily accessed as long as you buy the xpack mechs? The game became mechwarrior outside of bases and was only fun inside. To bad every base looked the exact same so it was like always fighting on the same level in a FPS. The same problem (without the BFRs) is why I dont play battlefield 1942. As soon as the game starts everyone runs over to their vehicles. It turns the "epic city street battle" into twisted metal. Like I would love to be hiding out in an apartment building with my squad and actually be pinned down by a tank. Because I cant just jump out and one shot the vehicles driver or blow up the tank ect. But that when I manage to beat that vehicle it is an accomplishment. Not a "well guys we should probably move now before he comes back with another one"
