Default Maps Optimized For Close Range Class

Everyone on this forum has probably seen a few gameplay videos or if your like me over and over again. But what really struck a nerve was that i realized that almost all the maps and zones pretty much seem to be "warriors" territory, sure i havn't seen any PvP vids which might be very adapt for the skilled sniper but the PvE zones looks like warriors would be dominating.Would you agree with me on this?

yep snipers will have much trouble in PvE but then again in PvP some battlegrounds will have open valleys and canyons surround in cliffs with nooks and crannies snipers can hide in and wait but then again the majority of levels are just rubble.

but seeing as most gameplay vids are really old maybe they noticed this fact and started changing it to make it more balanced and there is always patches

haha gotta love those patches eh?and balancing is a good idea in halo2 maps were either one sided with snipers on large maps and close quarters on small maps.

Never played H2 ^^ But i would be really dissapointed if they didn't balance it out seen that vid where they are running around in this little structure that would suck if i went in their being phantom i would be seriously slaughterd right away unless i draw my gun real fast and were to be seriously trigger happy

it may look like they'll only have close range maps. But they don't really have all that many gameplay videos. And the ones they do have look like they're all from the same time when they just set up a little test game and chose to play an urban map.

We haven't seen anywhere near all of the different types of maps they plan into the game. They sure aren't going to put 80 different maps all in the setting of a city. That would just be silly. I'm sure there will be more open maps outside of the city setting. And hopefully even more forested maps like in that PvE screenshot we've probably all seen.

I'm not sure how snipers will have trouble in PvE either. I figure it'll be a lot like PvP, lots of mobs running around, you stay back and do your best to tag some of them. Maybe just sit behind your buddies and wait until the hybrids are comming straight at you. Then just fire shots over your teammates shoulder to take out oncomming enemies.
