Training Grounds

ok well i think we all have some what of an idea of how the game play is going to work and what some of the weapons are like and stuff like that, but has anyone thounght about the respawn and how that is going to work yet? i mean, what happens after your guy dies? like for example, your are running from one city to another and your guy gets in a fight and dies...then what?
So my question is "how is the respawn going to work, and what is going to happen to my guys corpse and all of his gear once he dies? |

my guess is that it will depend on where you are, for instance i remember somewhere hearing that one of the guys in a battlefield died from jumping out an aircraft, he respawned at his nearest "base". If your running around from city to city u might respwn in your apartment, or maybe there will be some sort of a "hospital" set as a respawn point

Well it was said in one of the interviews can't find it now. Anyhow what was said is, first you are being brought into battle by the large Aircrafts as we saw in that video where they fight lots of mobs. That aircraft simply drops you off there you take some control points so do the enemy and you start to fight for the rest of them. As i saw in videos about gameplay you just simply spawn similar to UT or any other FPS where you can spawn as soon as you die (spawn time might take few secs). And about how you spawn in city i had the idea as Savage did, posted it on other forums. Reason why you should spawn in you apartment is, because if everybody will spawn in cities where they left last time, Capitals are huge and you have your apartments there but you can buy new apartments in other cities too. But what im tryig to say is, if every newbe spawned each time they enter the game at the same spot as others it will be too much and game may crash and cause problems, but if you spawn in you separated apartments that would create such a chaos.

Yep it's been said that when you die you respawn (a video shows a 4 or 5 second respawn time) with a bit of an armor penalty. and I'm guessing you just respawn at the nearest safe zone. Nothing has been said about you losing your armor when you die so I just assume you don't.
As for respawning in the capital, either in the hospital or in your apt. I would be fine either way. and as for logging back on where you logged off, I don't think that would be a problem. And I hate to refrence WoW as I and many others have over and over I wouldn't mind relogging in my apartment though, I just don't think it would be a problem to log in back to the place in the city where I logged off. Obviously that wouldn't work if you were on a battlefield because you could relog in the middle of a bunch of enemies, so they could just teleport you back to the capital or back to your apartment. Either way. |

kinda sucks if u relog and yur back at yur apartment.. amigine i u were killing some boss and almost killed it then u get disconnected and u relog back to yur apartment would be lame but i understand if yur in an instance u probly would respawn back at the city

yeah in an instance you'd probably have to get put back to the city if you disconnected. either that or back at the begining of the instance. Just because people might abuse it and run all the way through the instance then just disconnect and log back on right at the end boss. There are probably ways to make it work but whatever. If you disconnected and relogged in the middle of a big boss fight you'd probably just get slaughtered anyway lol.
