I am NOT advertisinng my huxey guild. what im saying is that most of you myself included, have already fromed or joined a guild. most of them have godly size and strength mine included. what im saying is as soon as the servers up the preorganized guilds will be wreaking havoc and really not giving noobs any choice but to join theres.
this could lead to GIANT clan wars before we have a chance to experince the rest of the game. do you think this is a problem? or does it make it seem more fun?

Not really. Huxley isn't big news so there aren't that many people in our clan. Not a lot of people on this forum signed up for a clan (that I know of). There's not much competition when the game isn't even out yet.

Its not like were all gonna play on the same server. I doubt everybody that has a clan already made will all just pick the same server.

im still wondering what kind of server system theyll have still. im sure youve all heard theirs a limited number of people on each of their servers. From what ive read, i was thinking it would be more like, picking any server to want to play on, and still use the same avatar.

For the first week I'm imagining that there will be about 3 main servers that stay stable or at least active the first week. You'll most likely be playing together with the rest of the community right off the bat. Who's going to just simply not play after waiting years just so they can hold back for low population servers?
Depending upon how heavily the weapons and armor truly do influence the game people may not want to give them up while switching to a new server. With the caps on people who can connect to these servers I myself am planning on playing in the lowest population ones while trying out the different systems and styles in the game. Mmmm, zergling waves sound so much fun.

seen this attempted with the launch of WoW, and it didn't work.
this would work well if the game was a free for all, like ultima online, but this game will be more like WoW (eg. 2 warring factions). guilds get created fast enough without planning them this far ahead, plus in world pvp its about large numbers and not skill. instanced pvp is nice to have a skilled guild though. |

Well it all depends on how much you depend on the guild. I mean in games like Lineage2, on real servers with x1 rates you can't play without a clan helping you. You are able to wear grade D at lvl 20 but you can barrely afford to change you old None-graders to a bit better non-grades. So in that game, there are bosses that requires more then 500 people to slay that boss. There are Castle Seiges where the castle is ontroled first by NPCs guards and LOTS of them and you can conqure the castle and the clan leader becomes the king of the castle recieve flyig mount called Wyvern and the whole clan recieves abilities that arent possible for peopple without the castle. So if there are clans with castle people join them and they dont join other clans that dont have castles since they arent strong enough to conqure one but everybody needs the clan in castle to use it's features.
What im trying to say is, if the need of big clans is big and you can't make it on your own far, you will join clans and clans will grow large and everything will succee. Why it didn't work in WoW? You had dungeon but you could go to lvl 70 wiouth them, you didnt needed a guild for the dungeons either so the only point of guild was to do raid after max lvl and not everybody had several hours to do so, so WoW became kinda burned out by itself. That's pretty much why i stoped playing WOW NOOB WoW.

I have a feeling you will see alot of guilds, including EG. Having to reorganize alot, clean up, and recruit more. So no I don't think it will be a big problem. Only thing vet. guilds may have is a little more organization.
