after posting a few topics on my old warcraft server forums, it appears as though nobody has heard of huxley, and they think it will be dumb because "the name huxley sounds stupid".

so i realise that huxley may need help from its players through word of mouth to gain the playerbase they need, because i don't see any advertising about it anywhere in the US.

if you play any other games, like WoW, EQ2, UO, Diablo2, etc... then we should tell our friends and fellow gamers about huxley, because chances are they never heard of it.

yeh, how about make our own webpages on create your own website, websites has any1 got a huxley page in freewebs? im gonna make a huxley page on freewebs, ill give you all the pass wen ive done it so you can edit it yourselves and update it.

Back in highschool, I brought my PSP loaded with Huxley trailers and footage. I then showed it to MANY people. I studied all the info that was out at the time and told them. They thought it was amazing. So far, I have converted several people to Huxley, but it wasn't as much as I hoped.

As for the name being stupid, I can actually agree. The name doesn't roll off the tongue, so alot of people wouldn't be interested. EVERQUEST! See how it sounds so great? It's like a quest that never ends. Honestly look in the mirror and say Huxley. C'mon, does that sounds super awesome? It's the name of a scientist in the game.

i also agree with the name, but i doubt they can change it that easily.
everytime i hear the word Huxley, it reminds me of the old priest/wizard in Vandal Hearts. and i didn't like that character much.

Yeah the name could be a little better, but it doesn't turn me away or anything.

I used to post on the WoW forums about huxley (in the suggestion forums lol, suggesting that everyone go check out huxley) I got lots of flames hahaha but some people actually did go check it out so it might help a little.

I'm not particularly worried about this game having a lack of players. I think there's tons of people waiting in the wings for it to come out and I'm sure Webzen will step up the advertising big-time once the release date starts to get close.

Guyver, oddly enough there was this circle of people at this resturant in Metairie I worked at that played EQ and they'd always sit around and discuss it when there wasn't many customers.

Lol the full name is kinda...special...so i call it hux. Also another possibiliy is that release date is still far off...although i can't see how that could be possible seeing as they had previews like in 2006.

In Asia EVERYONE has heard of Huxley, Webzen is the biggest game developers in Korea apparently.

It is fair to say that Huxley will only be as popular as people make it i.e talk about it, link it, share it and so on.

I find there is still way too many people from the states and europe that still are not aware of Huxley but when people look into it they love it.

I guess we all gotta work at getting the word around the best we can.

I've set bulletins on myspace for the petition and I've even set up the main trailer on my myspace. I've told over 20 people about the game. Still I feel that this isn't enough. The second I mention it's a korean game, it scares most gamers away. What else can we do?

Oh man...that means that there is gonna be a bunch of l33t asians and then us Americans :( lol, but really, it would be kinda weird if it was predominantly asian and every spoke...er...asian. But I hope that doesn't happen :P

i told everyone on my xbox live budd list my 2 cousins and my bro,s and i think my friends did the same to his and his 2 other brothers. it added up to like 1600 pplz. i got like 800 rplies saying " that is awesome so im doin my best to get thw word out.

Most DM gamers that I know of are aware of the game... and most are still in the "well show me something besides random quasi-informative interviews and vague videos" stage.

PC gamers are a hard sell until they can actually get their hands on a game. Once there's some form of beta or trial period or something, you can really judge.

Well i just hope that when the game comes out they will have lots of advertizement on websites like gamespot fileplanet and such very know websites, if many people knew about the game this community would be... HUGE! >:D

I completely agree, the naming is sort of horrible. When I say Huxley, I think of an arcade game like tetris. I've got about 5 or 6 friends who're going to get huxley when it comes out on Xbox (We're mostly console gamers) and I'm trying to get as many friends as I can from my hometown (small town, only like 3,000 some people) to buy huxley. We're hoping to start a clan or something, and I'll try before I quit WoW for huxley to convert some of my friends. However I don't really want to coax people over to huxley before there's more info. It's easier to convince people to play when you've got a lot of info on the game, and maybe even a beta.

well if you say it how the person on the trailer says it, it sounds much awsemomer, lol
but i do agree im telling more people about everyday and they say it sounds crap because of the name. infact why was i telling someone who doesnt have the internet? but i have told about 5 poeple(lol) that thought it was interesting.

the real way to get more people to the site is to put it on big game sites, maybe just give them the website but say its a brilliant game and its gonna be the next biggest mmo.

Well to my opinion you either like the game or not. I mean when i got little, VERY little info about this game i got intrested immideatly and i knew: "This game i would play for sure!".
It's like with love, you either love a person or dont, you cant start loving someone after a week you have been with them. I mean look, you see a girl and you thin damn she is so damn beautfil and you can't stop looking.
Why i say this, if you try your WoW friends they will have to love Huxley idea to stop playing WoW, for my opinion WoW is lame and i can't see how people can still play it after they reach lvls limit. I mean i had WoW i played until i got 60, done some dungeons bla bla bal got extremely bored and quit, same thing with burning crusade, got to lvl 70 and you know the rest.
So they will have to love the idea of Huxley to quit playing WoW cause if they only think like, "Yeah that's might be something i could try" then they would rather keep playing WoW, so i bet that it's better to tell them now about this game, plus i can provide lots of info about it. I mean those topics i've wroten about info on Hxuley from different webs. So gather people now and dont wait!
