Well i mean it's like, if sapien with sapien have kids, they will have another sapien child. If alternative have kids with another alternative they will have a alternative child. All though both races have mutated, more or less. But stilll if both get childer that are Humanoids after all even if mutated. Why should they get something that isn't human related by any of the looks if Alternative have kids with Sapien? I know it's a game but still... makes no sense .P

Gosh, I mentioned that earlier. Then we all just varied off and started to talk about the scythe weilding hybrids. We totally gotoff subject. The fact is- should realistic things like marriage with in each race or between each race be implemented. All we ever talk about is PvP and weapons. Why not talk about possible other things to do?

Personally, I don't really mind in-game marriage in other games, however I don't think it would fit in huxley. An MMOFPS just doesn't seem like a game where you'd be sitting around in town all day. It seems like an MMOFPS would be one of those games where you can just pop in real quick, join a battleground or two, and leave whenever you want, really fast paced and always something to do. However, webzen has said that they're working a long way toward player interaction, so I would like to see exactly what they can pull off.

Not the type of game
Like SWG, it was more interaction, more crap to do, then actually combat based, so it seemed right to have marriage and etc But for this game, it seems like a HARDCORE ALL OUT WAR SHOOTER more so then even battlefield, with a extra 30% interaction. |

I mean you know we are like 2 guys, who thinks that one knows more then the other, they start to debate with eachother and then it turns out that both spoke of something complete different. xDD But anyhow, wedding is boring and plus why a FPS should have that? :P Never seen a kid, i will repeat this very many times, WHERE ARE THE KIDS!?!? Did they turn into Hybrids?! :O

No but really i haven't seen any screenshot with a kid on it ... nowhere in town or anything, i mean it would very extremely weird if they wont have any kids walking around-

Well having a basic NPC child running around isn't a bad idea. It adds a sense of "innocence" to each city. It can't be war all the time, and technically you are fighting for the survival of your kind in a sense. It would only make sense to have children around, when you're talking about the next generation.

I'm wondering if the lack of kids is because the area is a "combat zone", so to speak. You know, like the town was evacuated or something.
I know if I had kids I wouldn't want to live in a town swarming with grunts with guns... And as for the original topic: To me, marriage is an RPG thing, and sure, there's a little bit of that in here, but mainly in the offline content from what I've heard. Yeah, there's interaction, but it seems to me that all that includes is buying stuff, shooting stuff, and talking to people about buying and/or shooting stuff. |

Well that's kinda weird, cause i meant that we dont see kids in any video which is intown, and i believe those town we have seen from videos are Capital CIties which makes them large and secure, of caurse guards wear weapons and everybody else do but what to do since it's war? It doesn't mean you shouldn't get kids or don't let them see the daylight since it's war.
Anyhow, you can say that any MMORPG is single player online, if you play it that way. But looking at the real perspective on the Huxley - MMOFPS. Shooting stuff is the most important thing you can do in this game cause that's what it mostly is about. You have to shoot people in battlezones to lvl up which makes it very important. It's not from the start you need battle zones but later when you reach a lvl of 20-30 then you need battle zone to lvl up faster. Plus you can call Questing for single player unless you must do party quests which require people cause there are simply too many mobs to handle for you alone. Plus trading with players is better then trading with NPCs cause only then you can get something good that none of NPCs have. Once again the game is what you make it to, if you want to play the MMO as single player you cna do so, i mean WoW for example you can do quests get items from quests and never through the whole game talk to any of the players and get to lvl 70 withcrappy equippment. But what's the point of playing single player when MMO is to play with or against other players and that's what makes it more fun then talkng to bots or killing bots which are programed to do things in the specific way and if you shoot one everybody knows exactly where you are while if you shoot a guy in a squad the guys from the squad would nt be able to see you unless you shoot another one and they expected it. MMO is done to play online with people my friend and what you heard about the single player i believe it's only done to start out in a invernoment which is less frightful and you feel more safe alone with PC then with bunch of players who knows everythnig about the game. Once again, you can play the game as you want but to make the best of it people play with other people cause it gives more fun. P.S: DOn't think you know much about Huxley but that's okey.

I do apologize if my understanding of the game is lacking; I joined this community to learn more. And, indeed, I just did.
What I was trying to say before is that I don't see room for that kind of interaction in this game. Not that there won't be comaraderie and such, but that kind of a ceremony is unlikely to occur, what with the lack of customizability with the environment. I understand that there is likely to be some kind of romance happening somewhere among the servers. I wasn't saying that this game is an RPG, though it has a few of its elements. It is definitely geared for FPS. And I completely agree with you about player interaction. It is practically a necessity in nearly all MMOs. I mean, why are you paying extra money every month if you're just going to play a single player game? |
