This thread was not supposed to turn into PC vs Xbox.
I just stated, in my opinion, the Xbox version will fail due to most people wanting it on the computer, and/or a subscription fee.

i'm a long time WoW player also, but so far i think i will for sure buy Huxley.

i spent most of my time in a battleground or doing world pvp in WoW. got grand marshal on my mage and got a 2100 arena rating, too. pvp is why i played WoW. the pve for me was more of a breath-taker for when i needed a pvp break. and that's how i think Huxley will be.

unlike WoW, i think Huxley will be an easy transition for gamers to make. people who know how to play an fps will be able to start a char on huxley and get right into the action, whereas with WoW it took many players awhile to get used to the game or their class. hell, even lvl 70's with rank14 didn't even fully understand the game much.

i think everyone's best bet is to just buy the game, and hope for the best. worst case scenario is you lose $60, which can be easily made back in a day's work.

also, let's face it... WoW is dying, so there will be a massive influx of gamers looking for new MMO's soon.

I have nothing against xBox gamers, i played FPS on consoles, like Resident Evil 4 and i didn't like it at all, aiming system and pretty much how it flows. I just don't like the console but those who do like it i have nothing against and i respect them for having their own opinion.
And yeah Grind is right, you do sound like xbox fan boy yelling at PC gamers cause you are jelouse that we will get the game earlier. I don't say im happy about it, i do feel sorry for gamers who have xbox cause they wont be able to start playing like PC gamers will. But that's Webzen decision and we will have to live with it.
I know nothing about GoW and enver played it but one thing i can say, since they had E3 last year and Huxley was on it, they gave interviews and the game info, the info had generaly everything covered only in vast understanding about things. If the game was rated at that point above 9.5 (i think it was 9.8) i doubt they will change much in the game since 06. But yeah games do change before releases, but not much. It might change much for you if you got wrong understanding about the game.
Once again - Don't get angry on people that believe the info on websites, if PC version is to be released before xboxes, dont see a reason why you should get angry on PC gamers since they only play it. All though feel sorry for those who will play it on xbox and game will come later on xbox then on PC.
ummm... what?... I just said I am not a fan boy I really dont care if the game does come out at different times. The fact is that people are using that against others as a reason that one system is better than another. Just no need for it.

From what I have seen there are no relyable sources that state the release dates will be 6 months apart. I have just heard a couple PC fan boys using that rumor since 2005 and it has been adopted by many other newer fan boys since then.

And please lets see some links to these web sites that are talking about different release dates that arent from 2005 or early 2006.... Because you cant trust site posts that are that old... And if your evidence is from sites with this old of info. They dont count as sources. If you can find some convincing evidence I will agree with you and end this whole thing, but I dont think they are out there. Just rumors that have been passed around.

Sorry Van for turning your post into a small debate, but I dont understand why so much hatred towards one side?

And again I am not a biased fan boy, I play both PC and xbox and love them both.

Too bad some people dont trust my words... Well since you wanted a new link to proof my words... You'll have it... :
http://www.warcry.com/news/view/6972...Huxley-Preview
That article was posted on 19 Mar 2007, 01:34 PM and they state few things. First for you to be sure it's not based on some old interview:
----- "WarCry met with Huxley rep Jason Wonacott at GDC 2007 to get a look at this MMO-FPS hybrid that the Korean publisher hopes to bring to the PC later this year and the Xbox 360 in 2008. " -----
And secondly more informative from the same preview:
----- " The game is scheduled to hit the PC market late this year with the Xbox 360 version to follow six months or more later. " -----

Now only one question remains, do you believe it now?

P.S: If you want to check out more details like this from 2007, i posted a new topic here:
Many Details On Huxley - New -- Enjoy!

I actually loved this game at first sight

Then I looked into the vids and stuff, and thought it was a horribly failure noob UT game

Now looking at the updated webzen info about the game, I realized they actually do have their stuff down, and infact this game will hit the MMO market like a train and is going to be huge.

However, I cant imagine playing a MMO on anything besides PC, its just too good. Xbox is very limited, confined, while I can probably mod up my pc version, turn way better, aim better, access stuff better, and probably laugh my ass off at youtube vids while im downloading a patch or waiting in game etc.

(Im not that biased towards xbox, I do have a 360, I just see this game being primarily way better on the pc.)

Interesting topic here. First a little back ground on me. I was/am a serious Planetside fan, BR25 CR5 VS autobots "Chiana" on the markov server. I really love that game, but I don't like paying the monthly subscription.

"WoW?" I never got into it because of the subscription thing. How many monthly fees can one person afford, or justify paying? I quit PS a few time and would get hocked again with the "free come back for a month."

I also love the fantasy stuff as well, but I don't like the monthly fees. Hence, GUILDWARS!!!! I love it. Yes i bought all three expansions, and yes that averages out to be some kind'a monthly fee, but IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT.

If i pay $ every month I feel that I better use it because I'm paying for it. I know that if I was on WoW I would be an addict. With Guildwars I don't feel like have to play. I can take few weeks off or a month even.

I've been following the Huxley thing since the beginning. I have even built my rig for Huxley (a few times since it was supposed to be out last summer). If Huxley has a a substantial monthly fee (substantial meaning anything that I will feel guilty about if I don't play much, or the cost of a Pizza) I think that I will pass on it.

As for the Huxley "running too fast." I totally agree. It's going to a Noob zerg, noob jumping, noob tea bag fest.

I think Tabla Rasa (or whatever it is called), made by the guildwars people, is trying to do the same thing, but without a monthly fee. Yes Huxley will look much better, but it still comes down to game play. That is why I keep going back to Planetside.

Well, I was a member of FodderSide (Free year.) And sadly it's over now. I wish they still had some kind of trial going on right now. If anything comes up PLEASE tell me.

I quit after the first month because my old computer couldn't take it. Now that I have a way more powerful laptop, I wanted to play it.

What i do is just try to log-in out of the blue. In a month or two try to log-in. You might be surprised. It has happened to me twice, a free month both times.

I personally am a Xbox fan, so I will be all over Huxley when it comes out since there isn't very many MMO's for it. I dont mind paying a fee since I am not paying one right now. When it comes to fees, I think it comes down to what is more important to a gamer, this game or that game. Of course no one can play all games and no one can pay for all game fees (I mean I am sure somoene out there could, but I am talking about the masses). If I decide I dont like Huxley then I stop paying for it and save myself money till something else comes out (if anything) down the road. If nothing does then I guess I just saved myself a ton of money and I didnt even have to change car insurance......sorry.

Russian, I know they are classifying it as an MMO, I believe that. I haven't argued that.

But in the end, I still doubt it is going to FEEL like an MMO.

But we will see.

TF2 is coming out soon anyway. :D

Well things im hoping for in Huxley is open PvE world which will give you the feeling of MMO, closed PvP world i dont mind since open one would be very weird and out of control.
Active community, i mean that if you ask for something somebody responds not like, "Hello how can i do this" - - - -- No answer, you go around kill lmillions of mobs and never hear people comunicate, so i how for active community with lots of people.
Lots of quests is important for me since i love questing and not only like kill that and get money and exp but kill that do that there with only tthat like that and you will recieve this awesome reward ifyou manage. I mean very hard and long quest that arevery rewarding.
SOmething i that i dont want to be in Huxley is many noobs, which i know that's impossbile.
The feeling that i get of an MMO is good community with cool people not bunch of noobs who go lone-wolfs and you look at them and think what they are doing.
Wonder waht MMO feeling is for ya...
