Gamestop Release Date Accurate?

I have been reading around on the forums, and although some sites have release dates for hux, everyone acts like there isn't a fixed date. Gamestop website says january of '08, any word on if thats accurate, or if it will probably be sooner or later?

January 08 sounds more realistic than end of 07. Though I hope for within 07.
Just don't hope to see it at the end of 08.

Well took a look at your gamestop webside and i can say one thing. But first, here is the webside:

The webside says that Huxley for xXx-box 360 will come out earlier then PC, and plus look at the PCs edition date. On all of those Chinese/Japanese websites that i translated and read before, they all say that PC version will come out first and only after it's out they will consider what to do with xBox version. So if all info i found about it was all against this, then i dunno waht to say, but i strongly doubt that those dates are true cause none of the websides have the accurate dates. Cause most of the sites say that they planed to release Huxley in Japan first and only then towards the rest of the world, so i dont believe the gamestop webside.

Personally I dont believe any of the rumors about the game launching in Japan first. This game is being made by Webzen US, not Korea or Japan. The game has been made to target Western gamers, not eastern. Secondly about the release dates. Dont believe that the games will be coming out at differnet dates. That is a lie. The game cannot be released so far apart. It would ruin the experience for one system. It would ruin the game for whoever is left in the dust and they had to watch as the other side beat the game and gave away all the secrets, not cool. The game most likely will be released at the same time. That could be the main reason why the game is takeing longer. They are trying to get both versions ready to be sent out at the same Time.
I can say from personal experience(I accually work at a game store), that they will not release these games at different times. That has not happened to a multi platform game such as this EVER. and dont expect it to happen. For example ShadowRun was both a PC and an XBOX game they had to push it back a couple time to work on the PC version because honestly it takes more time to ready a game of the same quality on the PC than it does on the XBOX. The PC just has too many hardware conflicts and power variations. XBOX is free from limitations in a sense. Everything is the same and thus it is easier to make a great game faster without haveing to worry about hardware conflicts and makeing the game run on older, out of date hardware.

Accually I work at GameStop. So ya... those release dates should be closer to the real thing. Webzen has officially stated that it will be Q1 of 08

I thought it was already confirmed that the xbox game will vary quite a bit from the PC version. That alone means separate release dates wouldn't be that surprising, considering they're talking about more offline/single player emphasis in the console version. That sort of style would require more content creation, but less testing, than a more multi-oriented approach.

Oh and no, don't trust retailers' dates unless you find a press release from the publisher. In which case, there wouldn't be any need to look at the retailers to find it in the first place.

Well no you see you heard about the variation of games from a 3rd party source... Also most likely rumor. Xbox will prolly have offline content but so will the PC version most likely as well. The content will most likely consit of missions and other things you can do without haveing the Internet on. They have stated that there will most likely be 2 different kinds of EXP that you will need to get. That is both NPC (mission/quest) killing and PVP killing to level. So the NPC stuff is most likely the thing you can do offline. The games are most likely going to be the same thing though. Again nothing has been officailly said about this game in over a year. Even mags and webpages dont cite their sources on where the info comes from. And in the interviews many times they are talking about ideas that they might have had and they thought were interesting or future plans for a game. Alot of the time that is the way it works. Wait until E3 2007 is over around july 20th and then we will see what is really going on here.

I have a hunch that gamestop is a load of bs, considering they already have the game box design done, and a lot of other sites list 07, which would be smart, during the competition when other games are coming out. And to have a E3 05 demonstration, that means theyve had to atleast be working on it since 04, most likely before that. And if you look at the 06 game footage, that game already looks flawless, I doubt they're gonna add another 2 years to it.

Lol 09? even if the 360 and pc versions are different, they will be at the core the exact same game, it doesnt need another 2 years, and that would be stupid. This game would be overshadowed and the engine its played on might not be good anymore. 08 is pushing, 09 is beyond stupid

1:The reason why they have the year 2009 posted is because Huxley can come out anywhere in between now and that time! It is not an estimate on the actual release date!!!!!!!!

2:It has been said that Huxley 360 will be released within or about 6 months after Huxley PC. This has been said in an interview done by MMO Magazine.

3: The scheduled release date for Huxley PC is 2007 in Japan. This means that the US will most likely get it as well in 2007.

So please, calm down and stop running around in circles about GameStop and other companies estimated release dates. Webzen will post an official release date soon enough.

No game selling website like gamestop is accurate, never go by the dates they say, almost every single time, their just plain guessing, the only real info you can go by is official info from the site and such.
