Will it be like in WoW, where the the opposing factions have crypted chat that appears as random words and letters from the enemies end, or will you actually be able to talk to each other like in planetside.
Honestly I hope you cant, it adds more to the lore and feel of the game being beyond just a regular fps. Add your opinions :P |

Well for the first of all we dont know how the communication system works. In this topic: Huxley Communication you will find another idea of how it might work and evidence to why. That's what i suspect it to be but im not sure how clan functions and party functions in battle will work. Plus since the cities are to be huge, that's a good way of solving the problem with n00b flooders.

lol it's always funny in WoW to see the little phrases people figure out or just by using the spacing thing (however that works). y ou l os e etc.
I wouldn't mind be able to talk cross faction. Just because didn't all of the races mutate out of the sapiens? So they should all be able to speak to each other. I might be wrong, I can't really remember. but either way, I guess I'm used to WoW where you can't talk cross faction so it wouldn't be too big of a deal if you couldn't in huxley. The only bad thing cross faction talking leads to is some trash talk which can be easily dealt with if it gets out of hand. Other than that it's just kind of fun to talk cross faction. Especially when they're talking trash and then you beat them |

Well im not sure of how it's going to work. This might be just another "Movie alike trailer" where they show things that game doesn't include, but! In this video:

I think you should be able to speak cross faction after all its not like they are completely different races like in wow, the alternative races are just a slightly mutated form of sapiens.

Regular chat should be unblocked and unfiltered. For voice chat though in battlefields. Let's just say it should be encrypted, oh man just had a great idea. What if a skill was listening (i.e. cracking encryption) to enemies radio transmissions. That'd be really helpful, but otherwise voice chat should be blocked.

Well when i took a look at this:
![]() I have no doubt that everybody will be able to speak to everybody. Not like that idiotic system in WoW. On this screenshot you can see both factions standing in one place and having conversation, maybe not with eachother but still. There is an NPC from a video and alteraver calls him "Old Man" you can see him standing pretty much in the middle. I know that both factions will have sapareted cities but i believe there are zones as on this creenshot where they can meet up and trade and such.
