Are The Rumours True?

That the xbox version will be different? Apart from it having single player, people say that online you will only be able to choose one race and be rather limited compared to the PC version. Or is this false, meaning the PC and xbox 360 version will have the same online play?

Yes. The XBox version will take place 50 years after the PC versions story line. XBox players will be able to communicate with PC gamers and on occasion play with them but it will not be fully implemented.

Ok. So each version has different online quests. So its only rarely interactive? But you can still trade and stuff with the other version? So lets say i get a 360 version and my mate gets PC, we will be able to interact and kill with eachover, but not do some quests with eachover. And plus 360 only has one race but a few classes?

The races thing, I would assume is not true. Nothing about different races . BUT The magazine states that 360 gamers may have to go into a PC server to do a certain quest. Much like going into the past I assume, since the 360 takes place 50 years into the future from the PC version. Right now it's stated that the 360 version will come out 6 months after the PC.

Ouch, im better off just upgrading my current pc then. Is there gonna be monthly fees? Because my 360 mates want me to get the 360 version but my pc mates want me to get pc version, so i guess i could get both if there isnt monthly fees. Apparently theres some rumours going on about the 360 version coming out in October? And i noticed that the whole 6 months later thing was at last years E3. Alot can change in a year i guess. Is there gonna be any new at this years E3?

o_O This is the first I've heard of this.

I mean I knew the 360 had a campaign mode PC didn't (probably for the achievements so they're not crazy broke'd like the ones put in for FF:XI) but the 50 years later part? What the hell this is really the first time I heard that.

And no, limiting 360 users to 1 race would be stupid considering since cross-platform battles are looking unlikely (I don't see why they can't just have small 8v8 or 16v16 battles be cross platform like Shadowrun/Halo 2) having 360 users be just 1 race would defeat the purpose of the huge battles it can supposedly support.

Both versions will have a fee, probably the same price.

The 6 month thing, eh, I'm not sure on that myself =/ we don't have enough info yet on any of this stuff >_< despite it being announced for over 2 years.

I have no idea where this guy is pulling stuff like the 50 years thing and PC server quest from but I really don't buy it till I see proof =/

There is proof. Go buy the latest issue of MMO Magazine (formerly MASSIVE Magazine). There is a two page article on Huxley and a side article on Huxley for the 360. I tried to scan the pages but my scanner wouldn't work. Really.

I'll have to look at that myself considering Huxley interviews haven't been all that prevalent recently. The only mention of Huxley in a magazine was in game informer and it was only a blurb nothing more.

There was a post/interview/article in the last few months explaining that they were looking at ways of implementing console players into the PC's multiplayer, and it suggested they were considering weird ways of doing it, but I don't think any of them were finalized just sorta dev ideas at the time. It included giving a team 1 console player with crazy powers powers so that you would want to protect that person since it'd be easier to take the objective (or whatever) with their powers.

I don't remember the source though.

yeah I remember reading or hearing something like that too. Something about the 360 players only being able to play with PC players for certain missions or on certain battlefields where they'll get special abilities that will make them more powerful (possibly to make up for the slower aim time?--sorry 360 people lol I know you're all super leet and ubar but mouse and keyboard I think is easier to get quicker at aiming in general) and make them special to the battle or something.

Not sure where I saw it either, but I'm not sure where I see anything anymore, the interviews/videos/random text is all just jumbled into my brain stored in the "things about huxley" brain file.

Don't mention it. BUT big problem- I'm going to have to postpone the time I said I was going to post the pictures, because evidentially I'm still at my friends house. (aka Sixon) His computer sucks and he wants me to help him pick out a new computer because his is out dated. This is taking longer than it should so, I guess I'll post the pics as soon as I can.
