in an mmorpg, having children around can just be annoying

but in an mmofps, having kids to totally own up on mass, makes the gaming experience much more enjoyable for us sponsored pro gamers!

leon, if you were a sponsored gamer then you wouldnt be wasting your time in forums. You would be out playing and getting ready for tournaments. And it sill boggles me how you can call yourself a pro when you dont play everyone. The real pro's are the people who play and own on XBL and that means not using so called "pro" rules. Seriously the people that are "pros's" play in tournaments and dont play against the real players and those are the guys who are on XBL and go through the shit every day spanking ass.

Well, there are retards in all age groups, no doubt.
But honestly, there is a certain energy of children ( say 14- ) which can be really annoying and immersion breaking.

But even worse to me personally are boys in the puberty turning to men and young adults with their retarded hipsterism and urge to be cool. You know like

Not all people are ofc, probably actually a minority, but i would choose an server with age control for sure. I would prefer the option " educated, mature " server tho, cause like i said, age does not mean that someone is not annoying ( and there alot nice young people ).

yep no server age requirements b/c i play with a group of guys that would own any of you in any game and they are all 15-16 - ummm sure, and why does this effect age requirments ? just because they have to much free time to play FPS ?

as for age control, its kinda unfair and assuming. because you are assuming that every one who is not older then a certian age is annoying and crap while trying to seem tough. personally i am NOT like that, i know that i am no better then most of the ppl on here, regardless of age, and i know i probably know less then older ppl on here, but this does not mean i am like the idiots who feel they have to tell every one how big and bad they are. Personally im kinda for what pvt.Jhon said, just ignore them or tell them to shut up. I wish one could seperate mature from immature.

I personally have been playing since i was 10 and I've never been told to STFU, kids now a days need a good beating or two just to take responsibility.

Your gonna get trash talking no matter what but with age restrictions it would significantly decrease. And also i am tired of getting cussed out by a little kid who hasn't even gotten laid before. Also the votes really show how many kids are on this site. Thats why i use the nexus.

I have noticed a majority of folks here under the age of 20. I for one am considerably odler than that. There are a few older people here. There is a discussion about how old a member of a guild should be in the guild/clan/outfit recruitment forum.

...haha they didnt even have "Online" games when I was 10. I had a Tandy 10 that could play atari game if you typed in like 20 pages of code and had about 100 floppy disks (the 5.5 one, really floppy ones). It's probably a good thing though cause I was an Arsehole for sure!

Well this poll has proved a couple things.

1.) Younger people like to lie about thier age, because it makes them feel more "Grown-Up".

2.) Older people like to hang out with younger people, Because they still act like they are younger and wish they were young again.

3.) Alot of the people signed up on this board are 16 or younger.

4.) There would obviously be tech. problems with a system like this.

5.) People would lie anyway...like in WoW was'nt it rated for at least the age of 16 or older...and yet I wound up playing with 8 year olds.

Personally, myself...I'm 29 (yeah I'm old, or getting there) I don't have to much in common with some one that is alot younger than 16...other than video gaming that is. And being as how I really like the aspect of getting on the voice server and chatting with buddies that are my age is one of the things I like about gaming (a social Aspect). I really am not to eager to get on voice and hear how cool some 13 year old though it was to spray paint his hair green or purple (just an example). And other stuff...however there are alot of gamers in thier teens that actually have more than half a brain. Which is the least I can say for myself when I was in my teens.

Anyway, yeah...i'd do it. If it could be set up to cascade as people got older they could move into the next group and so on and so forth; any other issue that might come up was fixed so that it wasnt an issue anymore... Which Ain't gonna happen with any developer...or anything in planet earth for that matter...in my 29 years on this earth i've leard one things for sure... and that is that: NOTHING IS FOR SURE!

Alot of these guys make it sound like people like me are against young people, that older people hate younger people or something. Not so if it were for young people then human life would cease to exist...so we can't get rid of them...lol But we don't have to put up with thier shenanigan's, when we can just sit back and wait for them to grow up.

It's quite funny really... Everyone in there teens can't wait till thier 21 and in thier 20's. While everyone in thier 20's wishes they were in thier teens again.

Yea, you really cant ignore little kids who are SCREAMING in the mic when i have already filled up my mute list on XBL. I expect only to find younger gamers on games that are not rated mature. You have to be 17 to buy/play these games. So please any little kids who are reading this, stick to the power ranger games and let the adults play the games that are rated M. And yes in the past vidoe games where made to focus on childen, that stopped being true around the time sega saturn came out. That is when the kids who grew up on atari and nintendo started making games for older people. That is why there are RATING on games, so that little children dont play them. If parents would spend more time beating their kids instead of sending them to their room for timeout then we would have less of this.

So you want to play with more people like you ....here is a thought use an i.q. test to split the servers that way all the dumb @$$es who spend there time screaming NOOB and ZOMG at everyone can go scream there happy little hearts out on servers and leave the real gamers alone.

Nah, there has to be better ways of keeping the immature people under control without separating the servers out by age. I have really only seen immaturity become a problem in games like CounterStrike where your team is the only one on the map and a few immature players can ruin the experience.

In WoW, for example, it isn't really a problem because there are so many people around that you can just join a group that you like and ignore the losers. Huxley should be a little more like this. Also, maybe the ranking system where the people who do better in PvP have more control over groups will be a good thing in this respect. Group members will be encouraged not to misbehave if they don't want to get disbanded. If an asshole becomes a group leader, presumably not many would join!
