Unhappy The Real Question About Huxley

I think everyone is worried about when it's gunna come out. i know i am. i don't want to lose all intrest in it before it comes out... i was as pumped about a game called Aion. (which still isn't out...) but about 6 months later i felt like bleh... they didn't show us anything to make us keep the hook they threw us... so what the real question is is not when is the game gunna come out, it's when is webzen going to set the hook they threw us?
i think we all know it's not very realistic to think that the game will come out this year. MAYBE november/december if we are REALLY REALLY lucky but that's not the point/topic of this thread.

questions, thoughts, and comments?

Well I dont want it rushed. Rushing an MMO to the market=death. It has the possibilty of bienh huge cause it taps into the fps market as well as mmo market. But it has to be done well and it has to be very polished to stand a chance. A few updates can be a great thing but I can wait as long as it takes cause theres no other game on the horizon that comes close to this idea.

as stated before, I don't want this to be rushed in anyway. Although, I do think that they should have made the Beta open, so that everyone could have shared the experiance, and I hope that they will be a little more generous with information than Bungie is, there's nothing more annoying than having to wait for something that you don't get information about, I mean, if they push the release date up an up and up, then you might think that they've put the project aside. Yet again, no rush, make a good game.

All we really know is sometime in 2007, probably in the fall or winter.

Release isn't an issue at this point, the problem lies with their ability to make the game fast, fun and run well. We were hoping for it last June, it was looking good, they had some trailers out and info from the 05 E3. May rolled around with no beta and we knew there would be a delay. I'd be very surprised if it was released this year.

Yea i'm thinking they know they have a possible goldmine on their hands. I mean an fps mmo running on an incredible engine? I'm thinking they just want to make it epic and release it when its done.

I hope this game doesnt break into an endless development cycle like Duke Nukem Forever or TF2, it does have a lot of potential but if the dev team never ups the ante to meet deadlines then it will get pushed further and further back as the technology they are using becomes more and more dated.

Well for one we haven't heard anything about it in the past year or so and everyone's pretty much forgotten about it by now. I wouldn't be surprised if it got sued by those crazy catholics who think evolution is bull and it was cancelled or something.

Take a good look around the market... as a previous poster said there is nothing else that taps into both MMO and FPS that is new on the horizon, and there's a general lack of any good new MMO's.

I feel webzen has 2 things going for them, and they are as follows

a) there is almost no good sci-fi MMO's out there.

b) most of the MMO market is with WoW right now, and if you've read thier forums you'd notice alot of people are getting tired of it but can't seem to leave because "it's the only descent MMO" to them. they crave something fresh but yet something at least as good as WoW, I have a feeling huxley has the chance to live up to those expectations.

That is me and basically half my guild on WoW. Right now I have 4 very close friends that stuck with me after SWG went to hell that are joining these forums next weekend. We are all done with WoW but there is nothing out to take its place.

Check out Wikipedia's entry for "Huxley". ALL PAST TENSE. It's sold. The money has to be recouped. There is NO chance this game will not become available. It's up to we consumers to pay for it all now.

Check it out yourself. The information seems too specific to be rubbish.
