How about Strategist. A person who has the right contacts and can bring in different kinds of NPC reinforcemnts. Like light infantry medium and heavy. Maybe even a vehicle or two by drop ship.
What about a Scavenger.(trader) Someone who can gather useless crap and sell it at good prices. What about a Driver. Increased handleing for sharp turns and can use their own vehicle as transport for a small fee. (taxi) How about Support. You regulate supplies by bringing in what the soldiers need in the heat of battle and you earn money at the end of each round or whatever. Supply+ people helped times 250. Or what ever is set for monetary value in Huxley. Or you can be unemployed and get a welfare check.

Those are great ideas Nickfury....
A few more suggestions.... Cooking = self explanatory but don't know if food will be a factor in this MMO. Machinist = Manufactures machine parts that can fit on vehicles and air frames that a "Mechanic" can use to do is upgrades and repairs. Requires a machine Shop and forged metal/steel whatever. Armorers = Construct various levels of armor worn by the PCs. He gets his parts from the Machinist or an NPC. Gun Smith = builds weapons. Gets parts from machinist or NPCs

Here are some more ideas:
-Survivalist = ability to create small, player made traps and setup small outposts that could be benefitial to other players -Architect = ability to create and/or improve player/clan housing. Thats all I got for now. |

Yeah that architect one is an awsome idea. Then it can lead to clan house defense systems. So then you can raid other clan houses. Now that is something to smile about!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

nick fury, what ever blizz are paying you it isnt enough. when mike morhane says "right we are adding battlegrounds and its gonna work like this:" you need to put your foot down and slap him up with your common sence ideas. blizzard desperately needs more common sence on their concept/idea teams.

A game like this would really benefit from a unique crafting system. WoW sucks for crafting. Auto Assault has a pretty deep system from what I've read and the little I've played of the betas. Customizeable/upgradable weapons would be so sweet. Even to the point of that weapon gaining some sentimental value... :D

what it looks like you could break it down to is
Armor- making armor for players out of components Guns- making guns for players out of components Vechiels- making vechiels for players using a LOT of components Stuff- making cool little gadgets like night vision or scout drones you can deploy and run around on the battle field to scout out enemy positions or like flash grenades or other useful stuff. Improver- uses components to make guns fire faster or give guns that don't oprdinarily have a scope have a scope or reinforce armor or give (Certain) armors a stealth coating that allows the person to stealth or somthing. Now the only problem is where does one get these components? disesembling equipment that they find...if you can find equipment and not just buy it. maby there will be quests that would reward players with crafting components. |

There could be an area called the bone yard. Though it is a good bit behind hybrid territory lines. It's where the hybrids keep all their metal.
I could have sworn one of the interveiw peices said that several islands would contain resource pits of somekind.

actualy i think there probly will be crafting however you spend points you get in leveling on those rather then on wepons and gear so your charecter at high levels is diverse
so you spend like 5 levels to get basic medical in which you are able to make medical items and use them on yourself and others etc the system ps uses could have gone far beyond what they used it for...

Tell me why u NEED to be put into a category from lvl 1 ? This game lets you be w/e u want.. if u wanna be a "sniper" just go grab a sniper rifle... if you want to be a guy with Rocket Launchers.. then go get a rocket launcher.. its better not to limit someone with a certain PROFESSION rather than being mixed and matched for a BIGGER variety.
