I've seen a Few Games With Bounties... They Are Basically this: Guy 1, Kills Guy 2... Guy 2 Gets Mad Because Guy 1 Makes fun of him for Getting killed. Guy 2 Goes to a Police Station or other building, and Puts a Price on guy 1's Head. Guy 1 kills guy 3, who also does the Same, and so on..This Price makes Guy 1 Stay Out of fight zones because he's Got a price on his head, and therefore Strong players after him... Eventually, guy 1 is killed and whoever Kills him gets the Price that Was On his head after the Round.
Could this Happen? I'd Like to see someone who has a considerable price on his head get His Head Shot off in a birrage of Blood Red and Tan pixels, and Then the Guy that kills him to say " Woohoo!!!! "Over all the Screaming of War...

Doubtful i think.
Since combat is limited to the battlefields (for what we know so far) where you will get killed many times over, most probably by people who dont even know you have a bounty on your head. |

yeh but you would have a prolem what if guy1 is being chased buy guy2 who is bounty hunting guy1 and guy3 and guy2 get into a fight over who get bounty what happens then?

People have already started bounty ideas its just not in game yet. You post who who want killed on a website and they take care of it for you and you pay them after they show you a screenshot of his body.

However how would you know if they had killed them. That would be the tough part on the system. Since there will be a player questing creator there should be stuff already implemented so instead of killing NPCs have them kill 10 members of a guild.

You could always do the idea from Diable 2 i think its from. When you kill someone you can loot their ear and it says "Lucrans ear" so they could do that but with dogtags or something. It would work perfectly for bounties that way the person that made the hit request doesnt have any doubt about the kill or someone could just walk up to the dead bounty that he DIDNT kill and take a screenshot and get the cash for something he didnt do.

that could create alot of poor game expierences if some @$$hole decided to put a bounty on his friend(not anymore friends), and had the cash to get people to kill him over and over...i mean it'd force the person to get good, and the person would have constant action...but idk just saying

Like i also said in another post,
They might do something with "Dog Tags". That would be the easiest way to implement a "Bounty" system in the game for as far as i know. Someone has to get killed, you get the first kill after the "Quest" has been made, you get his "Dog Tag", you get the rewards. -Dynatics, |

Personally, I'd want to scalp the guy as proof I killed him. I think it's cool, and I happen to be Native American, but that didn't influence my wanting to scalp people.

Ya scalping is not such a good idea in my opinion, just think about it, if you're in the middle of the battle scalping you're liable to get shot, i think picking up dog tags is a good idea though. The dog tags would be packets of info stored in your user information like who you had killed and how many times.

The dog tag thing is a great idea. That would be an amazing aspect..the more victims dog tags you have, the more respect you earn...or the more famous you would become. It would be nice if they related the number or dog tags to percentage of respect/famous.

This would only happen if dying actually meant something, but since you'll probably die constantly it really wouldn't work. The PVP system also works against it, since every single person from the opposite faction will be trying to kill you 100% of the time anyway, so a bounty would mean nothing. Since you'll always be fighting over an objective, the objective will always be more beneficial than killing 1 specific person. If you are taking a control point or whatever, you don't care who the enemy is you'll be killing them regardless.
However, one way that you could retool the idea is if you could offer a reward for taking out members of a specific group/clan/whatever. In other words, if you're helping defend something and you know that people from X group are the most highly skilled and organized, you might want to encourage people to keep them occupied more than others, and thus maybe you say if someone grabs, Idunno, 50 total kills of members of that group during the battle, you'll reward them. In this way it could be doable (depending on how they record your kills), and also fit into the gameplay system. |

Bounties was the best thing to happen to StarWars Galaxies and they made it FAIR. Its very easy to implement, first off Bounty Hunters got the missions and the mission was only given to X amount of players and was replenished if a bounty hunter was unsucessful (died). As soon as the Bounty Hunter Engaged in combat with his bounty they became locked in a 1v1 (ppl complaned about the BH getting the fist shot, but i think thats fair) The cash reward was paid apon death of bounty. If the bounty killed the Hunter his bounty was incressed by th |
