do you think there will be a demo?

has there been demos for games that charge a monthy fee?

The demo they would have would be a beta. Only a certain amount of people would be able to play, and it's pretty much just testing the game to make sure it all works on a large scale before they send it out to the masses.

Recently there have been reports and hopes of a July release date, but that seems unlikely since nobody has heard of anything about a beta test.

well imy GI it said july6th but i have heard rumors of july1st so i KNOW now its has to be in july if its not i will hit myself with a wooden bat then hang myslef

In betas you test the game so like driving vechiles into mountains and buildings and jumping off cliffs to make sure you dont glitch through or take no damage that kinda stuff. Theres lots of other stuff too.

I wouldnt trust anything except what webzen says. The rumors could very well be true but dont always get your hopes up.

well, for montly fee games, they use trials - offering u 7/10/14 days to play the game, and if u wannna keep playing after that then u gotta pay.
but dont count to see it when the game is out, would prolly go around ½ year if ur lucky :P and its not even sure they will ever have a huxley free trial.

*sigh* they sure now how to piss ppl of but they probly do have a reason might be glicthes might be them being selfish who knows but they sure are taking ther sweet time or maybe ther insuring that ther will be minimal ammount of haks like ther are so many for bf2 cs etc..

A trial period is the norm in most Massively Multiplayer Online games, ranging anywhere from 14 days to a month, and sometimes even more.

The word so far has been that beta testing will be for Eastern audiences only, but you can always keep your fingers crossed. I don't pretend to know all the logistics involved, but it probably isn't cost effective to put out a beta release halfway across the world when a domestic gaming population can find bugs and glitches just as well.

As far as a "demo" goes, a demo copy will probably be released to gaming publications as is the norm for review shortly before release. I haven't checked my calendar for what gaming conventions are coming up, but you may want to look out for a playable version there. (Again, you'll most likely be reading about it.)

If you mean demo in the sense of a trial version of the game with limited features and room to explore, than its not very likely. While this used to be the norm for up and coming third person shooters, a full-featured trial at release is a much more likely scenario. Even more so because it is an MMO.

If I remember correctly, open beta was said to start in November, open beta usually means if you have good computer specs you can beta test. Even if you are in other areas of the world, the internet cuts down on cost for distribution to nil and some people (like me) would pay to beta test this game.

I am sure the Beta for PC has been released as well, although I have friends playing the Halo 3 beta rigth now...... O_o and it's only thuesday

I wish i could be a beta tester for Huxley though....
