Huxley Release Date

Gamestop usually is +/- 2 or 3 months from the real release date. I'd be prepared for January/February release

Like Stncold said, gaming websites and forums have been predicting the release of Huxley for a few years now.

A January/February release would be nice, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I can verify that it's a fake date as well. I asked one of the guys who worked there and he told me it was just a BS date. Huxley should be out early 2009.

I came here today to post a big long rant about how I am giving up on this game, but here's the short version:

No game is worth waiting for 3 years of delays and pushbacks, no matter how much you hype it up, and god knows they tried.
I played the beta, it's not that impressive. The game has a look and feel as if it were made for the ps1. Imagine how outdated it will be once (if ever) it's released.

So here I go, leaving the ranks of all you poor suckers. I'll be back in a year or so to see how many of you are still supporting this half assed product. Hell, maybe it'll even be in the American beta stage by then.

Oh, and btw, if you like to give your computer an adventure in infinate loops and hangs, try uninstalling this game. It took almost as long to rid my pc of the game, than it did downloading and installing it.

Well, I'm sorry you have given up on waiting, but I don't understand how u can do such a thing. Just because u played the Korean Beta (for probably just a few hours) doesn't mean U know everything about it, Especially it being in, you know, KOREAN. And I don't know about you but the Unreal 3 Engine is a bit better than ps1, even if it does take a year or two more to come out, it's probably better than then ps3/360 graphics on high. I mean people still play games with crap graphics doesn't mean the game is bad. Games should be more about gameplay than actual graphics. And about uninstalling...You know u can just delete the damn folder in your program files. Have fun playing other games that suck.

This game was supposed to be out in 2006. That means it was already in development for years before then. I don't understand how you don't understand that I got bored waiting on a game that is already 2 (almost 3 now) years late and counting. Do some more reading in the forums, and I'm sure you'll find other examples of people losing their patience for this game. Maybe that will help you get it.

Well that's what you get for assuming things. I just told you that I've been waiting for years for this game, do you honestly think that I would only play for a few hours before giving up? I actually played it for a few days, then decided to upgrade my vid card JUST for this game. I then continued testing it out for about 2 weeks. I don't know about you, but I don't need to know everything about a game in order to know if it's worth playing or not. This game got more of a chance than it deserved, in my book. And yes, I noticed that it is in Korean. Fortunately, I am clever enough to figure out how to do simplistic things in huxly, like running missions, buying items, etc etc, without learing Korean.

Ok here is where i just outright call you a retard. Go read the reviews to any new game and you will see how much of an impact the graphics have. Go to an electronics store and look at the boxes that the vid cards come in. They will all tell you what kind of experience you can expect playing games on that particular card.
I agree with you about how graphics dont define a game, but that was only one of many problems I had with the game. Come on, now it really seems like you're just arguing for the sake of arguement.

Besides, the characters in huxley run/jump like they just got off the toilet and still have a turd stuck halfway out of their ass.

Gee, ya think? Maybe half assed programming is ok for your grandmothers dell, but I like things to be nice and tidy on my box. That way it'll run properly in a year. I was only pointing out the fact that buggy uninstalls are a sign of sloppy programming. I'd really hate to see your registry.

Well no, I understand you can lose patience(That's not what I said), as I have been waiting for 3 years, I myself have had my moments of stopping reading the useless updates about the game, I just don't understand how you give up on waiting. aka quitting

I wonder how far you got.

First off, you should not buy a gfx card just for a beta, unless you plan on playing other games with it...And I'm glad you've experienced the game better than most people, I've only played up till lvl 15( but I do plan on playing more). And lastly, you probably haven't played pvp due to the lag I've heard many English people hav'nt been able to get into that. As that is a big part of the game, It's another reason to keep waiting.

Yes graphics greatly impact a game, I don't disagree with you on that. I don't know why you are saying that these graphics aren't good enough for future release. Unreal 3 is a great engine to do things on, most people can't play on high settings anyway.

No that will most likely not be the real release date they make estimates on all games of when they will be released. But sometimes they are the real date.

Yo, if you can't be patient for a game as deep and revolutionary as Huxley, then you are right, you shouldn't play it, because you don't deserve it. What, you'd rather play a game released early, like Vanguard? These devs have taken on a huge undertaking, especially in making a console version. So, I wait patiently, confident its going to be a great game.

As for the release date...Gamestop and IGN currently both have the release date for both the PC and 360 as Nov 25, 2008. *fingers crossed*
