This was posted on another page. Wonder if that's credible. Also, the recent pushing of beta's to the public isn't actually to test the game. They can do all the beta's they want in Korea, they push them in America to advertise the game. You don't have beta's released then stall for another year or two, you release them to build hype about the game. |

The 360 version may not even happen because as we all know when Webzen hit a bump in the road we're hit with massive delays, like i said before the 360 version is still 50/50 it can still be cancelled for the 360.

the newest IGN article says 6 months after PC release, as the game will already be made and shipped on one platform by then I hardly doubt that Webzen will just cancel the 360 version because of a "bump" in the road. All games have bugs and things that need to be fixed. They have no reason to cancel for the 360 and if they did they would be losing a big playerbase. Also the 360 is the easiest platform out to develop games for so I have doubts that it will even take six months before the game comes out on 360.

I doubt they'd cancel the 360, I just guarantee the MMO level of it won't be on par with the PC. How will you trade, scream through the mic louder than everyone else? Take 5 minutes to type a sentence? The game also has an entirely seperate storyline, set 50 years after PC, which means you won't be playing with PC players, which in general are more consistent players (not always). That means they need to spend time streamlining hundreds of quests and servers to make it as efficient for 360 as PC, since you won't be sharing PC servers. There's a few challenges to making a 360 version, it's not a cup of tea.

Seriously you cant say that any platform has more consistent players than another platform. In any game you run into jerks and little kids on any platform, the difference is that on the 360 you can hear them. But along with this comes the mute system where all you have to do is click mute on a player and boom you never have to hear them again. All the stuff about streamlining quests and making servers work on 360, The 360 is the EASIEST platform to develop games for, multiple gaming studios have said this after developing games at the same time for different platforms. Also do some research before you post facts, 360 users will be able to play with PC players in certain battlefields where the 360 user goes back in time. Source-"Though the games will be unique, there still are plans for cross-platform interactions. According to Kang, "PC and Xbox 360 players can trade items, battle, and quest in their own respective platform worlds. But in certain areas, crossover is feasible that allows connecting to each other's world. The interface of the two worlds will be through quests in the other's territory or battle-zone and the system will be balanced to allow for the distinctiveness of each platform." |

Sadly, I checked a few places and they're now saying TBA 2009 in N. America and TBA 2008 for Europe. Strange, huh? Also, I'm opening the release date thread again since there are new updates and closing this one.

First of all, the "fact" I posted about no interaction between the platforms meant for PvE, I know that you can kill each other. I've read it. Who cares if you can kill the other in Battlefields, that doesn't equivocate to an integrated system. It means you can shoot them, doesn't mean you can chat, trade, also doesn't mean you share servers, as battlefields will be on seperate servers than the actual city worlds.
Secondly, consistent players means online consistently, I wasn't talking about mature. PC players tend to have much more addictive personalities while 360 players more often than not have social lives outside of gaming. I agree on voice chat, but to cater a system only to those with voice chat/USB keyboards isn't good marketing. And ease of making games doesn't mean they've spent the last 3-4 years streamlining a game announced originally for PC. They've spent this time working on PC, 360 is lucky they only have to wait 4-6 months more. |
