A Role Playing Server

Do you think there could be a RP server? Im sure people will roleplay in this game or would they just do it in pvp (like wow)

I'm sure there will be one of some sort.

And wow has RP servers. it's just no one RP's anymore. Earthern ring used to be a goldmine of role players when wow first came out.

When people RP (role play) they really put themselves into the game and pretty much act it out as they play.

So if you were talking to someone they might be like "The rune you seek is off in the distant lands passed that great mountain!" and stuff like that.

They usually just take the game more seriusly, in WoW they might kind of think of honor and loyalty when they play. And when they cast spells or something they might say things like *magic curses through my veins and I release all of my available power!*

Stuff like that.

Since I don't know how many servers huxley will have, I have no idea if they'll have enough to dedicate ones only to RP. If someone wants to RP I'm sure they'll be able to find a certain clan they can play with or something to fill their wants.

Actually Rp'ing started on paper with D&D so it has been around for quite some time now. You may have just never taken a notice to it before. RP'ing tends to be more prevalent in Fantasy games and Sc'Fi games, im not sure how it would come to play in bf2142 or halo or CS.

On swg they had a whole server devpted to rpig but then too many got into it and one moment you would be tradeing some weapon themn your would be arrested then kill alll the idoits who are trying to arrest you. The swg ruined it by taking th erp server off now only clans rp (but i quit rp so ii ouldn't care less

I use to rp all the time, though it was pen and paper, not MMORPG. I also went on forums, and I roleplayed. I like Halo rping and Star Wars rping, but I can't get into D&D though.

Well, anyway, I really hope they have Huxley Rp Servers. Then I can be like, "There's too many of them. We're screwed man, we're screwed."

haha, n swg a guild that always rped was trying to arrest me they were lvl 35 and i was levl 88 and i shot all of them and stomp on them (it was when i had like an hour left to play it until i deleted my account) but for huxley i hope to not do tyhat unless a 5 year old is on team speak witha sniper

I'd like to see how deep the devs are planning to go with the game's official storyline, or if the players will be encouraged to create an unrestricted backstory to roleplay with.

Though, can many people roleplay decently in a fast-paced fps game? It would make more sense in a traditional slow/mid-paced mmorpg, since I assume it might be a bit hard to act and shout lines while being in the middle of a firefight. Unless pre-rehearsed acts and scripts are involved?

You can expect to find me role playing wherever I may find myself, though.

As for my own opinion,
I would definately like to see a storyline.
I love to role-play in MMORPG's, i'm not sure about MMOFPS's, we'll just have to wait 'how (and / or ) if' they implement it in the game.
There has been something stated about certain PvE missions you will have to do with a 'squad' of (probably) four people, which would include scripted events in an instanced world.
Not sure if they will make 'persistent' 'quest' areas but i wouldn't mind seeing them.
You might aswell say Roleplaying is PvE'ing, because that is what you are going to be doing in a roleplaying server.
As for myself i'll probably be joining the 'normal' servers with both elements in it.

Please use normal words and sentences before making your post it makes people read it and understand it better.
