Just a thought since no-one else has brought it up...what happens when u die in huxley? respawn or u sit tight till it's ovr...which would be borin as hell

I like how Planetside does respawning. I hope Huxley does something like it
You could wait for an medic to find you, and rez you. Or you could tap and and wait for a 10-30 second spawn timer to spawn at a base, or mobile spawn point. If you tap out, you're unable to be rez'd by a medic

They wouldn't make you just sit there till the battles over, that would be too harsh for an MMO, I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a system similar to BF2.
Oh, btw. You might want to resize or get a new smaller Avatar. Since yours is too big. 180x180 is probably the best size you could get.

idn how planetside or bf2 work, anyone wanna explain??
i had an arguement with my friend about this a couple weeks back, his conclusion was that u respawn back in your city, i was thinking more of a medic type thing but i know nothing about mmos so im hoping to be surprised

For most mmorpg's when you die you spawn back at your home point.. which is usally in a city.
For bf2 its simply if you die you iver wait for a medic to rez you or you spawn back at a place which your team has captured, usally waiting around 10 secounds before spawning.

I think it would be kwl if u respawned far away like on a seperate island a little ways away from the battlefield...then u wouldnt have to worry about people dying and then 3sec's later shootin ya in the back

from what i hear your teams 'base' is not on the actual battlefield (to stop base-raping i would assume), have no idea about re-spawns but i'd would guess it would be like BF2 (either medic or 15-30 second wait till respawn) then respawn on the seperate base and be transported in by ship or APC... I can't remember where i read about the seperate base thing but it was in one of the gamespy reviews i believe, i remember it anyhow...

But then how would u tell who wins if everyone just respawns? would there be a frag limit, or a capture and hold for "x" amount of time, or like a lunerite run where ya gotta get back "x" amount of lunerites b4 the enemy does?

I also read somewhere that a teams main base would be away from the battlefeild and you would have to hop on a ship to get trasnported to the battle again.
I have no problems with that. The longer it takes to get back into battle the more careful you will be. Which in theory means less noob's rushers running in with a rocket launcer and spaming a group of people before getting killed.

Well In DoDs The spawn is no accesible to the opposing side, it reduces spawn camping, And perhaps theres a timer that keeps on counting down untill the spawn, and then a wave of dead players are respawned?! It migh make it easier for a team to regroup this way.

ya espicially if they did it repeatedly because of lack of Int :D
and if it made a noisy sizzle sound everytime someone was dumb enough to walk into it :shock:
