I have quit WoW a year or so ago. This game just have ugly graphix and a very bad community. And the fact that the devs spend 95% of their time by balancing classes while nerfing other classes in the same time just helped me quit this hell in a can of a game easier.

Now, discovered Huxley during playing wow, and it helped me to quit too. Cant wait for the release of this soon-to-be masterpiece! My PC is ready for this. Been playing fps and racing games with logitech g25 to pass the time but seriously I just cant wait anymore :D

By the way. nice to meet you all.

Never played WoW, never will. I've played the rts, thought it sucked, seen the graphics for WoW, think PS looked better, and for some reason, I think that Warcraft didn't have a great story. That's the reason I dislike WoW. Or maybe it's because I despise fantasy(except maybe LOTR).

The story behind wow is to kill mobs and get items. Good thing you never played it.

i thought WoW graphics were the best of any game like it. i did dislike the constant changes between classes, making some dominate others... from what i saw, it seemed like they made it so class A > class B, class C > class A, class B > C, in any pvp scenario... ah, it just seemed dumb to me - i ended up wanted to play a game that relies more on skill than class (gear I was fine with though, because it wasn't purely luck then, since it usually takes maybe not crazy skill, but at least effort/knowledge to get it)... that points out another thing - WoW seems to be mostly based on your knowledge of the game and it's mechanics and a little luck (basically /roll chance is present in every action of the game, but does make it necessarily interesting) - I think fps games rely more on your somewhat unconcious knowledge of the tendencies of recoil (if there even is) and also people's movement, along with that hand-eye coordination and zomg leet fps/ping

1) cool? LOL
2) real life lol? come on dude, what is a real life? is a real life doing stupid sh!t and then coming on this forum and racking up posts? are you at work typing on this forum? shouldn't you be at work, or at school, or sleeping (yea, because you get a lot done sleeping), or at a party... wtf is a life, ESPECIALLY when you're posting on here and it looks like you're planning to buy and play a video game yourself... so if you play 1 hour per day, you have more of a life than me who plays 8 hours per day? why don't you just not play at all, cuz then you'd have even more of a life, right, and that's what you value?
3) kek, IF?! Org ftw duder

-i didn't realize how much everyone on the forums hates role-playing games... on the PC, i started out playing FPS games, then got into a couple popular RPG games... i like both, but right now i'm burned out of WoW and don't think there will be a better game that is like it, so i'm currently favoring FPS games like Huxley

question for those of you planning on getting in on Huxley and seemingly bashing RPG-games... would you prefer UT2k7 if and when it comes out? because Huxley seems to have more of a role-playing focus (albeit it small) than UT2k7... i know at least I will probably buy UT2k7, especially if it comes out before Huxley, but I'd imagine I'll be more into Huxley if it also out

yeah. Wow = a game of rock paper scisor. but it doesnt require skills to be good in pvp. (hopefully and pretty much probably, huxley will rely on skills and we will see who is good and who is not. Damn I cant wait)It require gears and lack of life in a certain point of view, like farming rank 14 for uber pvp gear so no one can take you down, unless you are triple+ ganked and even bwl+ stuff can make you nearly indestructible vs casual players.

Not everyone here hates RPG's. I'm a big fan of MMORPG's. I'm always willing to try them out. Take LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online for those not in the know) started yesterday and it's turning into a very good game. It's "borrows" heavily from other MMORPG's but thats not a bad thing as it imploments them very well. I feels more like a relaxed WoW. I'm planning on getting the Life-time membership and playing it solo when ever i need a change.
In the mean time i'm focusing on playing my 360 for a bit and all the good FPS's out for it.

My heart belongs to FPS's/MMORPG's. So that is why Huxley looks to be the best game to be coming out EVER. Now all i need is to convice the Devs to make an RP server.

God I hate you people that are soooo inflexible. You are all "Oh, let's hate WoW and all that affiliate with it!!!!". Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean other people don't get one that is in opposition to it. I don't like WoW, but look what it's done.
1. It made more businesses interested in MMOs (If WoW wasn't successful would Webzen want to make MMOs?)
2. WoW has got some great communities and big guilds, you just have to find them.
3. It has some of the best machima ever. Try looking at the Xfire WoW movie contest winners or just some random WoW machimas.
4. It has shown what is good and what is bad in MMOs. (What if without WoW Huxley does the nerfing of classes crap?)
Just because you guys are all CS n00bs and can't read a book or deal with a plot line doesn't mean you have to get all b!tchy about a game and trash a topic. Decent you seem to be in all the flame wars that I've seen...
