Just a suggestion, do you think we'll be able to host private servers? It'd be nice to just buy the game without monthly fees, except maybe paying servers get bonuses? I'm relating this to WoW, any supporters?

You'd need massive server clusters in order to host your own Huxley servers. People will probably mod the UT2k7 engine and load up Huxley's models and whatnot for some simple DM. Webzen might even do it themselves to get people interested in the full game. No real chance of private servers for Huxley though.

well obviously private servers WILL have to be modified a bit probably to around 1000-2000 players and graphics detail will be lowered, but eh, i could care less bout the graphics....no offense to the company

There's really no way to reduce the graphics like you're thinking. And private servers would still need to have large clusters to support that many people.
If you're looking for something like 200 total at one time even you're going to need access to a very high end connection or professional hosting for your server. Hosting companies don't like putting up large illegal servers. If you want something to run out of your house you'll probably get 10-15 max with standard broadband connections. LAN play would of course support more people since the gameplay wouldn't be restricted by ISP connection. Then it depends on how good the hardware is. A multi processor system would probably be able to handle 40-60 or so depending upon what you used to connect everybody into the server.

well, it's probably possible... but you wouldn't be able to have many people on that server, and the devs probably don't want people doing it. There are currently people running private WoW servers against blizzard's will, but I hear most of them have a limit of maybe 10 players or so, and they have to be really cautious not to be caught.
