Year 2007 Huxley Info Here

been a long time since anyone found any info about huxley and its a long time since ive even bothered looking , . i was playing Gears of war on xbox live the other day and heard people talking about huxley and how a pc version was coming out in january and was thinkin how the f*ck do they know that. who knows, it could be true casue theres no info about the game anywhere which is why i think as a new years resolution everyone on this site who reads this , should do a google search and see what they come up with in the way of new info.

for starters,,,, where the hell is this official site, it said on the webzen site that an official huxley site would be up and running fall 2006. !?!?!?!

Yes that is the official site but we have known about that for a long time, it has not changed for months, to be honest I am very sure that Huxley will not be out this January as it is still in beta.

I have been in talks with Webzen myself about what the official site will be and they are considering setting up a professional enviroment for us here to host as the official Huxley site which would just be amazing if it happened but nothing set in stone yet, all I can say is that Webzen know that this site is number one for anything on Huxley and they are happy to let me have any info on the game first so once the release date is set we will be the first to know.

08? i seriously don't think the game is THAT far off. It's not like project offset where they announced the game way too early.

They originally said it'd be out this past summer, so I think they did overshoot at first a bit

Although now they're just saying "within 2007". I'd say next fall/winter is realistic. I'm still using UT2007 as a good benchmark for development time, and it's still looking like late Spring.

well considering they still don't have a website up, no beta announced, and that info comes out ever 2 or 3 months, we have a while to go. But hey, be optimistic. Id rather be pessimistic so im not disappointed.

Well now that UT3 won't be out until Fall at the earliest (and more likely, next Christmas), there's really no reason to upgrade the PC until then anyways. So waiting longer for Huxley doesn't really bother me, since I wouldn't be able to play it until essentially 2008 anyways, and even then I'd have UT3 to keep me busy in the meantime.

Same here. By 2008 I will have more than enough time to upgrade my laptop

I'm thinking Huxley will be out Christmas or January. They, hopefully, don't want to rush the game out which is a good thing. The reason it's coming out late is probably some issue with the game they have found or they have lag problems or hundreds of things. It takes time to make a game, contrary to the public opinion. I'm just glad they came up with the concept now we wait to see how they carry it out.

Judging by the fact that at the time I'm posting in this thread (almost march of 2007) and it's not out yet, we can all safely say it didn't come out in janurary heh but in all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me if they decided to add a whole nother year till the release date, however, keep in mind they can only keep it under production so long until the bigwigs and higher-ups of the Webzen company decide "That's it! we need to get some money! release it now!"

or its a big scheme to mess with our heads and build up anticipation and get us all worked up and jus suddenly announce theyr starting the beta and the game will be out in the next couple of months!
yes im a bit optimistic for my own good but theres no harm in that now is there...something soo good is worth the wait the guys at webzen know that so id rather wait than have to play something rushed and crappy.

The beauty of online based games is the ability to constantly patch and update. I want a finished product, but I hope the dev team doesn't try and build everything into the game right away and have like 1 patch for 2 years. Charge a monthly fee and release some new content. New levels, weapons, etc will be needed no matter what, but not right away...so may as well build a community while they are developing new content. Just my $.02

has some good info on huxley. its always got updated news etc . the release date at the top has been changing from TBA to various different things. its now at Release Date: 3/1/2007 which would mean huxley is coming out next month. although that is most definatley wrong . this site has never let me down ! so who knows mabey huxley isnt as far away as it seems. i mean the last video looked like they had made major progress. theres obviosuly been private betas going around for ages. ahwell any news then post it .
