Huxley Game, Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter Game, MMOFPS

Yep, the title says it all. Has anyone heard of plans for an Australian server? This game looks awesome. I really want to get into it, follow it and eventually play it. But without an Australian server, i am not going to bother. WoW is okay with the 350-500 ping i get. PvP however there a slight disadvantage with that lag. In an FPS obviously that kind of ping renders my participation in the game useless.

So... anyone heard if there are plans to have a server down under? if not, have fun those of you over the US and Canada and such, cuase those of us from aust / NZ will not be getting the chance to play.

Europe, Korea, and North America are the only servers slated to come up with release. You're SOL for a while.

yeah thats got to suck. i hope they have like a cross world server lol for every race.

Well that sucks. I know the argument by blizzard was that it wasn't economically viable to have servers down under. I would like to know how true this is.

The problem i suppose is that huxley will very likely have a smaller audience than WoW. In WoW newbs can pwn. In most FPS (assuming this holds true for MMO FPS) newbs get pwned and often. Nothing more fun than noob jumping into a 1 on 1 and not getting a single kill. It's jus the nature of FPS. So most likely much lower population.

I wonder if the Korean servers woudl have better ping. Even though i would not be able to communicate with anyone it's all about the ping for me. It would still be definetely over 150 and that just isn't doable for this game. I suppose i'll have to just take it on the chin and get my FPS dose when quake wars comes out.

I'll keep an eye on this game with teh feint hope that an aussie server may be in works. Hell i'd pay a couple extra dollars to support an aussie server, same goes for WoW.. but bugger it we just dont' count.
