Wow! im so amazed at the community this game has already conjured up. I think its better than wow. Idk im just amazed. But what do you guys think of the huxley community so far?

i think that people with an open mind are going to be in love with this game.

and yah, there has been a lot of excitement surrounding this game, but they are keeping so much from us that it's hard for many to stay interested.

Its the first and only of its kind yet it still looks like its gonna kick ass. If they would just give some more screen shots and news on the game now and again i think the community would stay more interested. just any bits of news on the game

i think they need some more vids of in game play around the world or something like a nice 20min walk through vid and yes new screens and info.

I've kinda lost alittle intrest cuz of the long wait, just like project offset but i'll still play both to death if i like them at all.

Well, considering that the game was already supposed to be out, there is not really that big of a community. I mean, the game doesn't even have an official website out yet.
The people that do know about the game are certainly all really excited about it from what I have seen, but it just doesn't have the publicity it needs at this point.

It'll get the publicity later on trust me. I just really hope they do an open beta atm, hopefully for europe, asia and america too.

Na it's a fan made one, the official one is being built for release soon, at the moment they have a small sub site on their main hub which has alot of basic info about the game.

Refer to other "guess the release date" threads, but in my opinion this game is still at least 7-8 months off, so there's really no reason for them to get too focused on marketing and things yet. The majority of the gameplay likely isn't even finalized yet, so they wouldn't want to advertise something and then end up changing it. I think right now everyone watching this game should just be in "wait patiently" mode; nothing ridiculously exciting is likely to come out for quite awhile, because there probably just isn't a whole lot to show yet. Frankly I'm more interested in developer interviews hearing about their plans for the gameplay system than things like screenshots and even in-game movies, so luckily we've been getting a new one of those periodically at least.

Basically, as the release date inches forward, more and more people (especially in the last couple months before retail, although their beta procedures also will affect this) will find out about this game and actively follow it. So don't worry there'll likely be a huge initial community for everyone to get frustrated and disillusioned with before deciding to just stick to talking to our more familiar teammates

hey im not trying to disagree with you atall here.

but i think the people are more frustrated that there isnt new screen shots , videos , news, etc, Because of the fact the game has been in the process for a while now and we've been expecting it to come out sooner then it will. I dont think games should even hint release dates until there sure, because it was said in the trailer it would be out summer 2006.

We are then told its gonna be alot longer ( fair enough ) i mean what would be the point releasing it if it wasnt up to scratch , but in saying that, there is a lack of news on the game and without an official website up and running with official news and updates on the game , People just start to loose interest, not because the game doesnt look good but because theres nothing to get excited about reading the same old info everytime they check the sites.
