I don't think anyone can pre-order it for any system yet, anywhere. If you know of a place you can, please post a link.

Yeah, I'd expect that date to change though. A closed beta hasn't even started let alone an open stress. I wouldn't look at anything sooner than that date.

Hah, coming from them...I assume that's just a randomly thrown out estimate.

I'd say for the 360 that date is optimisticly early by around 3 months or more. 6 months after PC release for the 360 version i believe was the last info given, i wouldnt expect to see my PC copy arive before q2 of 07 myself.

Retailers' release dates for games are pretty much worthless these days. Even the publishers often don't know what they're going to do until they actually make the decision, because they have to walk the line between releasing an unpolished product and waiting too long and losing customers. The retailers take forever to update their listings, and half the time it seems like they're either randomly choosing, or choosing what they think would convince people to preorder from them the most effectively.

In short: playing the guessing game for kicks can be entertaining, but nobody really knows when this thing is going to actually be released (yet), so don't take any of it for certain.

I'm sure EB Games, and any other gaming store, would love to hold your money for a few months while you impatiently wait for delivery.

I use GameSpot and have never run into a problem getting a game, pre-ordered or not. So, I usually don't pre-order.

Also, some games offer you a trinket for pre-ordering; Doom III had the Cyberdemon miniature and Call of Duty 2 had the too-small T-shirt. What do you think, if anything, will Webzen offer for a pre-order incentive?

--------

Just checked GameSpot's website:
Game: Huxley (X360) Release Date: Q3 2006
Game: Huxley (PC) Release Date: Q3 2006

So, they haven't updated their site lately.

I doubt they'll offer any sort of little trinket, just doesn't seem right for the game. If they do, however, it'll be some sweet action figure...heh.

Most likely they wont offer a free trial, at least at the start. They will know there are a lot of people waiting for it so they will probably just stick to standard mmo procedure, ie 30 days subscription included in the initial retail cost of the game. Free trials tend to come a little later when they want to expand the playerbase.

On the topic of the trinket, giving the pre-order people's accounts access to special character models to choose from would be very kickass. Not only would it be easy and not unbalancing, it would be visible and worthwhile over time.

That would be awsome...I support this idea!
Though its probably cause i already pre-ordered the game.
