Default In Korea, Playing Beta

I see that you guys made a sticky on the dude that is playing beta. I think you should make my thread a sticky too, I am completely fluent in Korean/English, and I'm lvl 22 right now. Ask away any questions you may have about this game.

PS - I would like to say I am a huge blizzard fanboy (WC franchise, Diablo franchise, SC franchise, WoW (got up to warlord, failed @ high warlord though)) I consoles I own right now are PS, PS2, PS3, NES, SNES, N64, Wii, Xbox360. I love FPS (a huge CS fan) and out of the thousands of games I have played in my life, this is hands down, no thinking twice, the BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED EVER IN MY LIFE. Never have I spent 15 hours and 13 minutes at an internet cafe straight before.

Now that my thread is up, I'll post some stuff about the game.

You start by picking a Race. Saipen or Alternative.
Then you pick either a male or female on each side, male and female having differnet abilities. ( Kind of like WoW, how each race has a unique ability, such as undead being able to stay in the water longer ) Then you give your char a name, change hair, haircolor, etc, again, kinda like WoW.

After your char is made, you go into trainign mode. There is a training base, and after your done with training (how to shoot, stand, run, duck etc) you go to your first town, and the quests begin.

You have a mini-map, that looks like a radar on your upper right side, shows what NPC's there are near you. You see a Q for quests (yellow Q meaning a quest you can get that u havent completed, a blue Q for a quest that you completed, you go to the NPC with the blue Q to get ur quest completed) You press M for the main map, it shows the current world your in.

The FPS controls are all the same, universal, I must say. A S D W to move forward, left, right etc, space bar to jump, you get the point.

Now this is where the game is so unique and insane. (insane seems like the right word) Remember this is an MMOFPS, meaning you lvl up while killing enemies, going to arenas, etc. Everytime you kill an enemy, a number with + BP, for example +11 BP comes up. BP is your experience, I'm not sure what BP means exactly, but I'm guessing battle points. When your BP reaches max bar, u lvl up. You can upgrade your weapons/armor, but you must be careful, if you fail your weapon/armor can disappear. You need Lunalight artifacts to upgrade your weapon, and each time you upgrade ur weapon/armor, you need more and more material of different variety.

The cinematics are straight clownin. (clownin also seems like the right word) I am playing with Ge-Force 9800 GT graphics card, 750 HD, 4 gigs ram, quad core processor, and it STILL sometimes lag spikes once in awhile. This is the most insane graphics I have seen in a game, whereas the game ACTUALLY LOOKS ALMOST LIKE THE CINEMATIC SCENES ITSELF.

There is so much shit to this game I can't really think of it all and definately can't jot down everything I've experienced in one thread, so feel free to ask questions.

Oh, and lastly, they called it the 'grand opening' for huxley which was released june 27th our time. Koreans are so impatient and shit no game ever deleted open beta chars when the real thing came out, so this is pretty much the real thing. (Even WoW, they didn't even delete out chars down here, so opening day of WoW everyone was lvl 55+) So you can expect an accurate review of the actual game, or damn close to the actual game by asking me

Whoa! You can have every beta in the world at your finger tips, but that doesn't give you the right to make only 3 posts EVER, and demand attention. I had to merge the 3 post you decided to make together because of the current forum rules. Plus you JUST joined the forum's TODAY. So I almost HAVE to forgive you.

I'm all for you helping people out. Besides you're treating it like a resume' lol.

I got a question for ya.

Since I don't think any of us outside of korea can get into the PvP portion of the game, could you tell us a little about it.

By now we all know the very very basics (team deathmatch, capture the flag, radar control etc.) But anything beyond that I don't really know.

So :D

1. Have you been in any big PvP battles (100 vs 100 or close to it)? if so, just describe your experience lol.

2. How do you enter the PvP areas?

3. What happens when one faction wins or loses a PvP game?

4. Have you been able to see anything that is like a territory control system (as in, the alts win a battle so now they control that area, and in a couple minutes the saps are going to try and take it back)

5. And is there anything else you think all of us who have been excited about Huxley for a while should know about the PvP (or any part of the game)?

I can answer 2 and 4.

You enter regular matches via terminal. You run up - Press E and pick the game you want to be in.

As for 4 - I have seen the maps for territory control. Alternatives were winning by ALOT but there was no defense up and we were attacking a sapien settlement.

Awesome man! thank you so much :D I've been waiting to hear that information ever since I started reading about Huxley lol.

I don't really like the whole running up to a box and pressing e to join a battle (seems too much like a regular FPS for me) but oh well.

When you press E, does it bring up a map or something? then you choose where to go? And after that I assume a loading screen and you pop into battle.

Well the battle terminals are different you can choose to be on sapien or alternatives side as your class. And the rooms are separated per class. So it's level E's versus E's. No A's versus D's and stuff.

BUT I sense a slight chance of TWINKS> That's right I said it.
In order to be a there's E class then level 11 is D and 21 is C 31 B 41-50 is A.

So if you have trusted friend- you can find a rare gun --- upgrade it the most you can and so far I haven't seen a limit. So do that pass the gun to someone you trust-- they pass it tto another one of you're characters and voila --- instant TWINK.

I have a class D rifle that I upgraded 3 times and now does 198 damage PER SHOT. So if I upgrade it any more..........

i'm kind of stuck aswell. but i'm combining my MMO and FPS experiences. Figuring, once I try hard enough and hit enough buttons it will come along. Or when i'm high enough level.

I'm stuck at lvl 5 or 6 at the training area. Does someone know a manual for the ingame translation? Maybe that fanboy that started this thread could be more useful then he has been up untill now.

Sometimes you have to talk to the NPC again and click on the quest again (after accepting it) some npc's teleport you to the spot

How do you use health packs?

I presume that's what they are anyway.

The green health looking things in your inventory.

I dragged the three I have to the only spot they can go and they even show up in my hud but I haven't for the life of me figured out how to actually use them.

Yea I can't join any matches.

It keeps giving me some P2P message which I assume means my ping is too high.

That or I'm doing something wrong.

I think my biggest question is how do you make/join a party so you can do questing together? is there a level limit on party members in order to make a party?

The p2p message means your ping is too high.

I even tested it on a 4.5mb/s download speed- My ping in china- the closest I could test for is 250....

Guys, don't forget there's a huge difference between MB/s and Mb/s.

Mb vs. MB
