Hey guys. I got this major issue.
Does huxley work on Windows Vista? I have a couple of errors. First, when installing, or rather starting the install, I get the error code 1208: Korean. I Unpacked the 2 .cab files but now I can't reach the Game Start button on the Huxley website.(ofc I installed all standard things) and for the further rest it's not really responding. Actually my whole IE7 has gone buggy... that might be why I never used it. I've tried alot of things next to that. My main subject has been a Korean language pack of some sort. I've got Windows Vista ultimate NL something something. So I figured the language packs might be my problem. When I tried to install some the correct way, the whole menu was empty. I couldn't select any language to install. Please advise! best regards

I'm an ICT educate and there for I say i'm not even gonna start trying that. Waste of my time. I rather get something that works that not.
Downloading a language pack of a couple hundred megs. I hope this is something useable. That one wasn't. But I might have something now. If you guys got other ideas... As for the internet explorer, i'm gonna try and fix it. Since it's embedded into Vista, you can't actually uninstall it.

Well, I tried 3 different language packs by now. But i'm searching on, I atleast have a hit with the search criteria.
If anyone has anything helpful, it would be great. Ow, I couldn't edit my last post so I created a new one.

I currently play it on vista, i have had little to no problems. i easily max this game. It plays smoothly, i've had like 1 sec frame skip time when its loading the area with 50+ player's right after logging in but thats it... the only other problem i have is that sometimes, it's completely random, the textures wont load on full gfx settings. it will load on the lowest setting wich is completely random... XD oh well, it runs smoothly and thats ok with me.
Problems I've Had: 1. alt+tab on server/character selection screen, for some reason when i do this. not always, but ussually the game phails. and i get an error that the driver phailed. or some jargon which i know is complete B.S. 2. partying with other people and trying to enter an instanced dungeon halts my character movement, attempting to start the game. but in the end it either releases me, or freezes the game. i suspect its due to latency issues with the Kazeans. 3. i currently use the 2nd to last quad core processor of the Core 2 Extreme series. and i ussually make all my normal OS, background, Music, downloads, etc. run off the first 2 cores. and the last 2 cores strictly for games. this actually helps games run smoother because many games handle 2 cores easier than 4. but on huxley i get a major crash at the begging if i limit it to 2 cores, instead of 4. I can see why though because i had a hard time doing it in the first place. had to freaking not only initialize admin privilidges but use a cmd prepared code... >.> besides that the game runs smooth, very little errors besides what i mentiond.. if you are having problems with vista then it may be something specific instead of being vista in general. oh ya, currently using default English Language. |
