My (and many other's) view of the forum

Well, after observing this humble establishment for a time, I have come to realize that this forum is like the book 1984. In George Orwell's (Eric Arthur Brown) 1984 people become "vaporized," or completely erased from the present and past. Many of my fellow posters have the feeling that you "vaporize" their posts because they criticize you or your motives. Everyone here should have a God -given (any god, it doesn?t matter) right to be able to post what they think about the community in the feedback section. Now granted, if it has profanity or "untruths" in the post or thread, then yes, the scathing post should be erased.

Now enough of my ranting, despite it being the truth.

This forum has gone to shambles, in fact if it was not for the homepage redo a short time ago, this site would have looked totally unorganized and poorly kept up. And the most recent banner for HuxleyGame.com, is well, frankly, unprofessional. I and many others enjoyed the previous banner because of how well it was constructed and blended. That person was an artist. Whoever constructed this one, made it far too pixilated and unprofessional looking for numerous people's liking.

So if you would be so kind to not "vaporize" other's posts and replace the current banner with the previous and more suitable one.

A lot of people feel this way. I've always felt that this site got very big because of the name. When you google Huxley for the first time, you get all these random results, so it's natural to add "game" to the end of it. Then you get Huxley Game.

i think recently, after some of the above mentioned "true colors" were shown, the community tapered off pretty quickly. This site is now about half as active as it was when i originally joined.

Not suprising i must say.

And the reason is what Phoen pointed out. I myslef have been 'vaporised' so to speak. And yet i did not say anthing offending to the community. Only givin my view toward to the Admin/mods.

It is kinda unprofessional in the way they are moderating since we have 'expert moderators' as stated by gobby in MSN chat

I have never removed nor edited a post without a major reason for doing so. For instance, requested by the threadstarter, flaming, namecalling and pure insults. Furthermore, I have never removed a post which has said something bad about the moderators, with one exception, when one guy posted like 15 similar threads which all stated that the moderators are gay. I removed all but one of them, just to be able to state with a lockdown that it's not the most constructive way to give out critisism.

If you have a problem with any action that I have done then please go ahead and send me a PM and we'll discuss it.

I'm just here to wait for Huxley just like everyone else so I hope that you can at least treat me with the same respect I give you. Since we're all going to meet eachother out on the server once the game has come.

From what ive haerd Murv your the good side of the Mods. Was that my thread in feedback you were refering to? Lol toid had fun wiht that. we not attacking you for something like deleting multiple threads. we are just sying we believe that the moderation is a lil strick, thats all

you can give a person power, but you cant make em use it right. i must admit, although i never have seen the first banner, when i joined this site i thought, wow that banner looks a lil odd. just looks like someone took a screenshot, cropped and put text on it. i think that might be what actually happened. meanwhile ChillinVillain has made a banner that many comment looks fantastic, but nieither it or the old one that many seem to like are used.

I just want to add that I don't have any adminrights on the site whatsoever. I'm just a moderator in the forums.

Murvel, I'll agree with what Phoenix and Diabolos said.

I won't speak in thier name (or even expect to know what their stance is) but I believe the main gripe here is with other elements of the forum administrators.

Just 2 questions: Why was the Huxley Radio locked down? And why was the ExGS gaming syndicate locked down too? (the latter for no reason - sent a polite PM to Gobbly with no results or even answer)
