To my humble reckoning, having to stunt mouse performance to bring consoles up to par is just wrong.

The analogy may or may not be correct, but it would be as if one would take away all the money from rich poeple in order to eliminate poverty (since everyone would be poor, rich people would not exist, and therefore, poor people wouldn't either).

Far from a good approach.
