Default EGM article

Theres an article on Huxley in the May issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly and it reveals a little bit about how the Xbox360 and PC cohesion will work. First of all the 360 version will have a singleplayer campaign with "online elements" in which the player assumes the role of a member of the Hybrid Liberation Organization. It says that the missions will often require a trip into the towns that the PC players will populate in order to retrieve items and information. An interesting scenario that they have in the mag is:

1. A 360 player gets a message via the ingame email system regarding an assignment.
2. The player goes to the mission area along with any other 360 players that accept the same mission.
3. The player recieves a "special weapon" from a real life PC player in one of the towns prior to the mission. Webzen says that there will be incentives for the PC players to work cooperatively with 360 players. In this case if the mission is completed successfully by the 360 player then both him and the PC player who provided the weapon will benefit.

Sounds good to me. Btw sorry if this has been posted already.

EDIT: The article also mentions that the 360 version is due for 2007.

EDIT2: Same as post #11

Sorry, I didn't specify one thing:

All of this "singleplayer" jazz doesn't mean that the 360 users won't play together with PC users. In the article it says that Webzen is working out a way to "level the playing field" (so 360 users don't get pwned by the 1337ness of our mice). All in all I think this singleplayer stuff simply means that there won't be 360vPC action going on on any huge scale. It WILL be there, just not as much as PCvPC or 360v360.

Again sorry for the confusion.
