I am an American in Australia... I moved here over 2 years ago and started getting involved in Clans 5 years ago. I have created an American Clan even while living here in Australia and have played Counter-Strike on USA servers since moving here. Just recently I decided to give up the USA clanning business because high pings do suck and I need to start meeting Australian Gamers. Not to mention when my wife and I are playing together.... its best when we dont have such a high ping.... although she still owns me at times. Not saying I will never play on USA servers again... but need to equally play on both servers cause time differences suck when its 7pm here and I don?t know anyone on Aussie servers... and yclan mates and the rest of the US are asleep! LOL!
My servers were hosted at The Planet in Dallas, and my pings for 56k were 350-375, with ADSL which I finally was able to get it after a year because its not available everywhere here... I get about 250+ ping.
As far as owning, I don?t care if you have a 25 ping or a 350 ping.... if your half way decent you can keep a 1:1 ratio. I was able to reach scores of 36-13 with a 350 ping playing CS. I don?t consider myself an awesome player, but have been called a hacker on many occasion because people don?t really understand lag doesnt bring your skill down. All lag does is sometimes blocks ppl from hitting me or me from hitting them..... Pretty much, if I can?t hit you, you cant hit me.... if I can kill you, you can kill me. So its pretty fair.... besides the fact that most ppl can see me before I can see them..... you just better be quick cause I have a high HS ratio and its not called aimbot!
Most ppl that hack, couldn?t find skill if it was given to them in a cracker jack box!.... They hack because they can.... and they need to compensate for something else...:P
