Don't like the idea, it would defeat the purpose of the race in the first place. There is also the fact that it would be untrue to the story. Hatred blinds people, it makes them irrational, the two races have this blinding hatred for each other. No matter what the benefits of having people defect it would not be allowed. Racial hatred, pure and simple.
