What SOE was trying to do was cut out the One shot Insta gibs. No body like to be insta gibbed. Esp in a video game where it is nine times out of ten very much laggy and rubberbandy.

I get killed in planet side all the time just for nothing. Never see any one...never here any guns shooting or nothing then in the kill spam it says someone killed me with a MCG.

In an Online MMO just because you PWN someone don't mean they suck 100% of the time. It could mean the internet is all jacked up for them and they never even heard you shoot one shot at them.

That is why planetside cut down on most of the ways to "Twitch" game. Snipers are cool and its fun...but let someone know they can kill someone with one shot...and thats all they will every want to do is sit in a tree and snipe all the time...next thing you know you have about 1000 people doing the same thing and you can walk anywhere. in an MMOFPS. with 100 people just sitting in trees sniping all you'll find out you can't even walk out the door if they were one shot one killing you. In a regular fps game you dont have that many snipers running around.

Yeah planet side has alot of issues. and they have neglected to fix them. But it was still successful and is still running on a couple servers.
