Well the main reason of that post was to point out some of the things that made me like PlanetSide.
What does PlanetSide have to do with Huxley? A Whole hell of a lot actually.
Its the same as if someone came out with a chocolate cookie sandwhich that had a white creamy filling. We'd straight away compare it to a "Oreo" cookie.
PlanetSide is the direct bases for articulating Huxley. It is the only other succesful MMOFPS on the market ...it is also the First one to Make it. So, whether you hate SOE and you think there walls are painted pink makes no never mind. They did have a succesful MMOFPS...so they did something right, at least for a while.
Another reason I have made this post is because I notice alot of you on these forums have not in fact played PlantSide. So you have no Idea of what a real MMOFPS is like. I'm trying to tell you, but you keep trying to shove it back up my rear end. Yeah, you can compare a MMOFPS with a regular FPS...But it'd kinda be like comparing Mayonase to Peanut Butter. When you actually want to compare mayonase to mustard. But if you don't know anything about mustard then you are forced to compare it with what you do know about...which is peanut butter. I am offering you advice about mustard and explaining you the ways and attributes of musterd to give you a better and wider scope of things to discuss, and you don't want to hear it.
So to get on here and run me down about talking about one of the games that the "Lead" designers of Huxley find very intresting as well. Well...that is a little naive I think.
Although in closing...it does excite me a very great deal that the developers and lead desginers are not in fact naive...and they know excatly where alot of their criticizing is going to come from. It will be a intresting outcome to say the least to see what they think planetside did right and did'nt. (In other words what aspects of an MMOFPS they keep from PlanetSide.)

Actually, this would be the best place to do it. People on the SOE planetside forums are already playing PlanetSide. That is why they are able to post on those forums. You can't post on those forums unless you have a PlanetSide subscription...I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you did'nt know that. Being as how people in other communities just might be intrested in the fact the SOE is starting up a new ad where you can download the game and set up and account for free and play the game completely "FREE!" for a whole year with a program called "Cannon Fodder" ....Places like this are the very place to talk about it. However, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
This would also be a great way for people intrested in huxley to see what the other actuall successful MMOFPS is like. But that obviously is not you, because your to naive and hardheaded.
